  1. @fluffo - if you want a literally brand Mesa Boogie Strategy Eight:88 gimme a shout, I know a corner of my house that has one it might let go...
  2. Surely the transition of power should be done via a democratic popular vote? I for one vote Mick Mason to run this site, Sansamps for everyone!!!
  3. I been told that Ped can change you to a higher rank in exchange for a 'handie', whatever that is... 🤔
  4. Clearly it is only worth 50p, but, as I'm REALLY nice I'll give you 60p. Deal? Excellent! Have it washed and sent to my chambers.
  5. If you buy a decent second hand fretless for a decent price and you don't get on with it, you can always re-sell it and get your money back (give or take). That's what I'd do.
  6. £469 is dirt cheap for a Mobius. Retail on that would be near $2000.
  7. Were these photos taken with a slightly wide angle lense? The headstock and body look slightly odd... but so do some points in the background! Absolutely sure it's 100% legit! Also, love these strats.

Spotify did me a wrong. Typed in Scumfu... and was given this... Actually not terrible if you can handle the heavier things in life. Reminds of early Between The Buried And Me with harsher vocals.
  9. This used to be mine and it is a seriously good bass for the price point. Having owned many (MANY!) 6 string basses, some by what are considered the finest luthiers out there, this bass stands its ground very well against them. Tanglewood made around 20 of these (I have an email from them to state as much) and stopped making them because the brand just wasn't synonymous with this level of quality and the couldn't sell them at a profit. Wenge/Maple through neck with solid brass bridge and Gotoh tuners - stick a different name on the headstock, charge twice as much, and you wouldn't question it.
  10. That Mobius looks like a steal. Had one before, wouldn't mind another if funds permitted.
  11. Afternoon all, Due to some essential house works I'm looking to sell my deposit on for this remarkable ACG 6 string 33" scale Salace E Type. The RRP as shown below in the spec sheet is £3570 - Alan kindly did me a deal at £3100 (£470 off RRP) and has said he will honour this price for anyone who would take on the build. My deposit is £300, so to take on this build the deal is £300 to me to cover my stake, and £2800 to Alan upon completion (due circa December 2021) before delivery/collection. I do not want to be selling my stake in this bass as it looks to be a spectacular build... the ART burl top with gold resin is stunning, the neck dots will be made from the top wood with double dots at the 12th and 24th fret. Matching ART burl headstock cap too. The pickups are an RFB active humbucker in the bridge and an active PB in the neck position with a DMF 5K A/P pre-amp which I have on two other ACGs and this combination allows for almost any conceivable tone you might want. The body is swamp ash with a 5 piece Ash/Wenge neck and a sure-to-be-stunning Acrylic Impregnated Holly fretboard. This really will be an absolute killer bass in every capacity. You'd have until December to pay off the full balance after clearing the £300 deposit, so the remaining £2800 could be paid all at once, or in chunks up until December of this year, so plenty of time to fund it! If you have any other questions, just let me know. Thanks.
  12. Owned a few of these, great basses. But as Ped says, if you don't get a response then there are plenty of equally good/arguably better builders out there!
  13. S734491 puts it at 1977 I believe.
  14. Isn't that exactly the point/how they should be fitted? 🤔

Sold an iPod nano to Martin, always a smooth transaction. Would be happy to deal with again, and no doubt will at some point! Another top basschatter. 😁
  16. I saw a boob once, scared the hell out of me. Never again.
  17. Gear Gallery... I click the link thinking I'd be whisked away to pictures of my favourite narcotics only to be greeted with pictures of basses... how disappointed I was. Keep it safe and go with 'Photos Of Bass Guitars' (Cue the person to be disappointed by not seeing guitars made out of fish). There is no winning!!!
  18. 3rd parties buy thousands of slots at a time which gives them a much cheaper total price so its almost always cheaper to go with a 3rd party.
  19. @Hamster - I think my PM will have got to you first, but I'm not in any massive need for an acoustic bass so feel free to offer it up to @Mickeyboro or @howdenspur. If neither take it I'll be third in line.
