Hi all, (£80 for everything left including postage!) I'm having a bit of a clear out of straps and strap locks. Pretty much all my basses and all my straps are equipped with Dunlop strap locks so all my Schaller (and Schaller type) strap locks as well as a variety of straps are now up for grabs! Feel free to mix and match is you want a strap and a set of strap locks or multiples of anything! Postage is +£2 on any individual item - happy to include combine postage, though that will increase to £3.90 for 2 or more straps as it'll then come under the 'small parcel' size. Collection from Basildon, Essex is fine too if preferred! All sizes are 'Hole to Hole' as per the current adjustment of the strap. All straps are further adjustable. STRAPS 1; 120cm - Code strap with 'wide shoulder'. £12 2; **SOLD** 120cm - Tiger Leather strap. £15 3; 120cm - Leather strap 'worn in'. £10 4; 120cm - DSL Black and White Leather strap. £15 5; 120cm - Lekato Air Cell padded strap. £12 6; 130cm - Code Leather and Suede strap. £12 7; Two standard 'seat belt' type straps. £6 for the pair. STRAP LOCKS A; **SOLD** Gold Schaller strap locks (both parts). £9 B; **SOLD** Silver Schaller strap locks (both parts but with gold pins). £8 C; **SOLD** Black Schaller strap locks (both parts). £9 D; **SOLD** Mis-Match silver/Black strap part only. £3.50 E; Fender strap part only (works fine with Schaller pins). £4 F; **SOLD** Black strap part only. £4 G; Black strap part only. £4 H; Black strap part only. £4 I; Tarnished silver strap part only. £3.50 J; Gold strap part only. £4 K; Gold strap part only. £4

GuitarGuitar Delivery Disappointment !!
binky_bass replied to madshadows's topic in General Discussion
GuitarGuitar made a bit of a mess with my order last year, albeit more down to DPD than them, they were on it as soon as I mentioned the error and were gracious enough to offer postage back. Ask for cost of postage to be refunded, I'm sure they'll oblige. Errors are made sometimes with these companies, it's all about how they resolve them that matters personally to me - though no arguement that it's frustrating to not get what you ordered! -
I can't find an existing thread so I shall start one!! Bought a little ABY pedal from Spewy, it was packaged up very well and arrived in good time, all in a nice smooth transaction! Another credit to basschat! Many thanks good sir! Russ.

How long to wait for an eBay buyer to respond?
binky_bass replied to Jakester's topic in General Discussion
@Jakester - what's the buyers feedback like? If it's 100% or close to it and say has 50-100+ 'feedbacks' then maybe give them a day or two, if they have zero feedback or close to it then I wouldn't waste your time, the chances are they won't be paying! I always get a bit nervous when a zero feedbacker wins an auction of mine, at least 50% of the time they don't pay and are totally unresponsive. -

That he is. I have 4 of his creations. All utterly brilliant. -
7-String Frankenfretless
binky_bass replied to lowregisterhead's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
The extreme version... built by our very own Alan at ACG. -
I bought one of these when I had a 15% off deal through eBay, came in at £11 all in. Perfectly reasonable straps though the plastic adjuster is a bit clunky! But for £11 it was a good buy. I have WAY too many straps now so I might actually shift this one on if anyone wants it! It's still in the box with the free plectrums and plastic strap locks!

Just bought some strap locks from Alain. An excellent service all round! A great price, shipped quickly and in exactly the condition described, can't fault him! I'd be very happy to deal with @ead again, another credit to Basschat. 10/10

7-String Frankenfretless
binky_bass replied to lowregisterhead's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Woe betide something that has more than 4 strings and isn't shaped like a Fender... 🙄 These are actually very good basses I'll have you know! -
I would. Looks a little odd to the eye but as a fretless I think it'd be genuinely useful and give you the range of a 6 string.

I recently bought an ACG strap, it's hand made in the UK, excellent quality leather, 3" wide with a good amount of soft padding and a suede underside that really helps stop slippage. Very comfortable indeed! Also just bought two Richter straps (they have a good reduced price 'B-Stock' section!), they've not arrived yet but they look great and their 'Artist' list is formidable!

From the man that is always putting up 'well priced' eBay items that have at least 15 years left to run! 😂

You shan't regret it. I've got 2 custom builds from Alan and 2 I bought second hand - they are some of the very best instruments I've played and I've been through many!

I'm not sure... I'll have a look tomorrow. From what I've been reading it seems that Cubase AI does have limitations with plug-in load. I might need to bite the bullet and upgrade to Pro 11.

Evening All, I bought a Steinberg UR44 earlier in the year, A: because it's a decent bit of kit for the price and B: because it came with Cubase AI free. I've also bought Helix Native, which is the plug-in version of the Line 6 Helix, very useful. My issue is that when I run the Helix Native plug-in on more than two tracks I get a "Recording Error - Audio Dropout Detected" after about 5 - 10 seconds of recording. Two tracks with Helix Native works fine however three will cause the error... I'm aware Helix Native is a fairly CPU heavy plug-in, and I have occasionally got the same error when running say ten tracks, two with Helix Native and eight without. My laptop is only a few months old and runs an i7 processor, has 16GB RAM and a 512GB solid state drive with a 2TB external drive housing most of my data to keep the laptop free from large masses of data. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can prevent this error from occurring? Ideally I'd like to be able to run at least 5 Helix Native plug-ins on 5 tracks, but at the moment I can only run two maximum. Is it that Cubase AI can't handle it? Am I missing something? My laptop is definitely a respectable specification so I don't believe it's that... Any thoughts welcome! Thanks, Russ.

You can use the 'change region' and 'change currency' drop downs at the top of the screen. I just snagged 2 of them... 'cheers' @Hellzero for making me spend money on straps I probably didn't need!!
-
ACG sell UK hand made 3" wide padded leather straps with a suede underside. I have one and they are excellent, not the cheapest, but the suede underside prevents any slippage and the 3" wide padded main body of the strap make it extremely comfortable for long play.

Boss here too. Had it for a few years and it's a pretty solid app!
