  1. Well... to my eye it's definitely a Precision, no doubt there. I'd also say it's a perfectly legit Mexican Fender too. Really can't see anything wrong with it! Please, enlighten me as to you quarrel with this!
  2. I doubt there is anything legit about it. It's clearly an AliBaba special. A dirt cheap Chinese knock off, nowt legit or original, just fakery through and through!
  3. Poor river... Your only option is to go back in time and not buy it.
  4. Would you sell the throne separately? Interested in that but have no need for the rest as I have a full mapex kit already.
  5. On it... just don't tell my wife!
  6. I still use my email address that's a good 20 years old!
  7. And now everyone has his email address! 😄
  8. The settee is touching the wall and floor, the basses are on the wall and floor, therefore the basses are on the settee. Absolutely faultless logic there! 🤔
  9. Mesas are notoriously expensive to repair. Sick Amps in Harlow are a Mesa Authorised repairer and they charge £180 just to look at a Mesa amp, they'll repair it within that cost if it's easy enough but if it requires parts then it'll be more, and parts are difficult to come by from Mesa. Not sure it's worth the return.
  10. Some of the 31 stringed things that lurk around the house/studio...
  11. Tony dropped off a Peavey 410 cab a few moments ago, great chap to have a chat with! Another credit to basschat - would happily deal with again! Thanks!
  12. Bought a lovely little super short scale ACG from Ewan. Great communication, super smooth transaction, faultless really! Would happily deal with Ewan again, another credit to basschat!
  13. Just had a very friendly chap from UPS delivery my 'new' ACG... Struck a deal with @eude to relieve him of his ACG Mikro bass. It's an absolute beaut. Its currently strung E to F so I'll be restringing it Bb to B as we play half a step down and I prefer a top B. It's in absolutely immaculate condition, standard outstanding build quality from @skelf. This makes 5 ACGs currently in the collection... many more have been owned and passed on, mostly to afford another ACG! Looking forward to giving this little super short scale beast a proper run at band practice next week.
  14. Bought a Bugera Veyron BV1001M from Paul a day or two ago, it arrive very well packaged a few hours ago! Excellent service from a trusted BCer. Another credit to basschat!
  15. So many pointless questions... can we get a spam filter on basschat? 🙄
  16. Tom just picked up my rather beautiful Peavey TL6. A great chap to deal with, always good to meet a fellow basschatter! Glad it's gone to a good home. Yet another credit to the BC community!
  17. It's about 10-15 mins away. You're welcome to come by before hand should you so wish!
  18. I'm definitely no where near you, but if you find yourself in Essex at any point, you're welcome to come have a noodle on the various 6+ string basses in my garden studio.
  19. Bees don't have hooves. Everyone knows that. 😋
  20. That's like saying a language simple if you already speak it. That diagram means nothing to me!
  21. 8 x KT88 or 6550 and 3 x 12ax7 valves is the sweet spot... Peavey Classic 400 Marshall VBA400 Mesa Boogie Strategy Eight:88 Laney Nexus Tube All these heads pretty much follow that formula and all are awesome. Heavy, but awesome!
  22. I mean IF you wanted to come here, I'd not say no to the cab... 😆 You'd be welcome to meet Binky and the rest of the hoard. Some interesting beasts reside within the music dungeon at the bottom of the garden...
