  1. Hi, 25% off! Now £90. I have for sale a very close to mint condition black deluxe Fender G&G hard case. These beasts are £240 on the Fender website and a little over £220 from the likes of PMT etc. I have too many cases and need to move a few on so this one is up for grabs! It's a fantastic case, no signs of use with the keys in the compartment. £120 is about half price from new so I think that's fair enough for a case of this calibre! Can ship if required, also happy for a socially distanced collection. May be open to some form of trade, would rather cash though! Any questions, please ask! Russ.
  2. I do love a Spector, I've owned several EURO 6XLs over the years, a US NS6XL and an NS5XL, all fabulous basses! This Ibanez compares very closely indeed in terms of build with those Spectors, the thick slab top with the spacer and Ash back are a similar style. Very pleasantly surprised by this bass... I knew it would be good, but it has surpassed my expectations and I tend to expect a lot!
  3. So this cheeky beast has just arrived from Belgium courtesy of a certain @Hellzero... It is quite an exceptional bass, more so than I was expecting to be honest (and I've not even plugged it in yet!) The build quality is absolutely fantastic. The highly figured, very 3D, top is a 1 inch thick slab of quilt maple with a purpleheart core layer and an Ash rear, also beautifully figured. The purpleheart fretboard and truss cover and superb and feel great under finger. The fretwork is immaculate, the fret end has been rounded off perfectly. The gloss body has an angled transition to a perfectly smooth satin neck and the treble access allows you to hit every fret seamlessly. The Bartolini pups are supported by an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp (a change from the stock passive Bartolini preamp) and the hipshot bridge and gotoh tuners take command at either end of this fine beast. This really looks like a true contender for some of the VERY best basses I have owned, and I have owned a lot!!! Porn below:
  4. Mate, where'd you get the fuzzyfelt from??? Absolutely vintage... makes me want a magnadoodle and a spirograph set too!
  5. Another deal done! Numbers do not go high enough to quantify the number of deals we have done, so we will just call this 'Deal X' where X is equal to the last of all the numbers! And again, the deal was smoother than an ACG satin finish, never a problem with Tony. It will be a sad and terrible day when Brexit puts a halt to our trades! Thank you sir for another fine slice of bass pie!
  6. There's a few things that scream cheap Chinese build quality on this... the headstock finish is rough, the through body ferrules are odd, the tuners are the 'hipshot' fakes you find on real cheap Eastern copies and the spacing is a little off. If it stays at £50 its probably worth a punt, with 5 days left it'll probably jump. Any more than £50/£60 I think you'd be disappointed with it!
  7. Love these... my guitarist has a JP7 and a JP6 Majesty... super tempted!
  8. Your advert says you bought it 7 years ago! Not that it makes a difference! It's an interesting piece, but I think for most people the combination of the body modifications and the non-original neck make it a very hard sell. I'm sure it will sell at some point, I guess it depends how quickly you want to sell it. The price suggests you're happy to wait for the right buyer.
  9. I think the body shape will make it nearly impossible to sell. I hope you do manage to shift it though!
  10. £6 off!!!! Wow, that is absolutely crazy! 6 whole pounds, not half pounds, real honest to god actual pounds!!! Think of how many pink foam shrimp you could buy! The possibilities are literally endless... Shame they only have one, you could have double your shrimp if you bought two!
  11. I've always liked GUS basses, but also they absolutely look like they are made out of steel modeling balloons! Especially with the strap button as the 'knots'. As a fun fact, Simon built the last bass as ordered by Prince before he died. Would love to play one.
  12. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Scratch-Built-Electric-Guitar-/174513410010?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 So many questions... so little time!
  13. I'm 6'4" and +20 stone and I got into an original GT! The door did not close and my derrière cheeks were perched atop the bucket seat rather than in it, but I class that as 'in'!
  14. I call my technique 'ringing the bell'. (I fear I'm testing the 'crude' limits of BC. Feel free to shoot me down at any point, it'll likely be deserved!)
  15. Do you immediately say sorry after slipping it in? I've learnt I have to.
  16. You and I both know that's a vicious lie.
  17. I imagine similar words were spoken by the man that invented the condom!
  18. I think at the end of the day a bass built from the finest woods poorly will sound poor and a bass built from the poorest woods finely will sound fine.
