  1. @Hellzero - You sir, are a big old box of wrong! In fact this clearly looks like the bass @mhoss32 has modeled his build on! 😂
  2. If this turns out to be a Wishbass I will be very upset...
  3. But who gets the spleen?
  4. @Rich So all I need to do is bankrupt you, make you homeless and maybe steel your spleen, then your Wal is mine? I shall get this into motion post haste!!!
  5. You emotionless heathen!!!! Be gone from this forum... BE GONE!!!!
  6. Nice. Best colour/neck combination on these. Great price too!
  7. A new ACG delivery today... that makes 4 in the 'built by Alan' collection. A number no doubt to grow in the future!
  8. Just to let you know, I am in fact your eldest daughter... when can I have my bass please?
  9. A new one that just arrived an hour ago that will most definitely never be sold!
  10. Pete looks like he's been relic'd.
  11. Among a few others, I will never sell Binky or my USA Conklin 8. They are simply the best instruments I have ever seen/heard/owned.
  12. Utter porn. This with that Zon you had would be a treat for the ears! Shame that Zon is currently being re-sold for 3k.
  13. Boil it up for a few hours, I'm sure it'll come out just fine.
  14. Cats and basses don't mix. In fact cats don't mix with anything. I've tried. I blended one once and all the catty bits just floated to the surface.
  15. As I say, stunning can go either way! Fully appreciate this is a Marmite bass!
  16. Arguably 'Stunning' doesn't necessarily imply the positive, something can be stunningly terrible! But, which ever way you choose to slice it, this bass is quite stunning! Be you in the positively so or negatively so camp! (If you're in the negatively so camp then I'll see you behind the bike sheds at lunch break for a fight).
  17. Get back in your 'Jaco only needed 4' box! 😜
  18. You can but ask him! Drop him a message, I'm sure he'd be able to let you know.
  19. For me, I can't stand 'standard', the world is a glorious place with so much on offer, why have the same as everyone else? To those that prefer a Fender, cool, no problem! For me - I like something with more identity. This bass creates a conversation that highlights our differences, none of which are wrong, they are just the subtlies that make us an individual. I must say I enjoy the fact this bass causes a conflict of opinion, a Fender would rarely if ever really do that. An instrument can be art in itself, not just a tool to make art, and this is what I love about it. You can say you don't personally like it, and that is absolutely fine, but you can't deny that it can be considered a piece of art in itself!
  20. The body shape is quite unique, it's purposefully focuses for ergonomics so it is that shape for a reason - obviously I like the shape but I can understand why some might not! Buckeye - again one of those love or hate woods, I love the colour an complexity of the wood, but again, can absolutely see it not being everyone's taste!
  21. Personal taste is of course so utterly subjective - for me this is a simply stunning instrument, and an example of real master craftsmanship. It's definitely a polarising body shape and buckeye is quite often a marmite top wood so definitely not for everyone! The world would be a bland place if we all liked the same things!
  22. No LEDs, just the natural sheen of the resin!
