As in Mushroom Studios at Lubbards farm? Used to be our practice area till COVID came into the picture! Hopefully we'll return soon! -

@Spewy - What is that 'thing' on the wall in the top left of the picture?? -

It does, it's a superb bass. The action is perfectly low and the Aguilar OBP-3 preamp with the USA Bartolini pickups are one of the best tone combinations out there. The purple heart fretboard feels great and helps add a good snap to the tone, the fret are individually bevelled and rounded at each end, which really makes fast movement up and down the fretboard a pleasure. It's a great bass indeed sir! -

An Ibanez ANB306 with an active Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. It has restored my faith that Ibanez are still building seriously high end basses that can compete with the very top echelons of bass luthiery. -
Bought a Neotech Strap from @loremil, it arrived in good time and looks/feels pretty much new! Very smooth transaction all round, would be more than happy to deal with him again! Another credit to BC!

The Jack Frost decal I get, it looks well enough placed and suits the bass especially if you're a Tim Burton fan, but why the chicken-head knobs? They look quite clunky and to my eye cheapens the overall look of the bass. Absolutely just my personal opinion, but just curious as to why you're adding them. White knobs might look cool and compliment the Jack Frost decal.

Nothing on here is libel/slander apart from him trying to make you look like a paedophile as you mentioned in an earlier post. He is just using idol threats to get rid of words that, because of his actions, make him look bad (and rightly so). He has no grounds for suing and I VERY much doubt he has the means to start a suit given he has clearly been gathering his funds for his habit in a very illicit manner. You've done no wrong, we are all witness to that. Also it's wise to keep this in a public domain, as well as that message you posted, as if he does start action this thread is very good evidence and is a fairly concise record of events. If you have you're money back, I would advise ceasing contact. Just to note as well, that intermediary who sent that message would absolutely be called to court if this was taken that far, they are an instrumental party so are, and will, remain directly involved in any further proceedings.

You've not painted yourself into a corner, you've got the instrument thats right for you. 👍

I really don't understand how you're handling this. This guy needs to be dealt with by the police. Even if you do get your money back tonight (I'd bet an equal amount you won't) I guarantee he'll continue to do this to others. This really needs to be raised with the police and dealt with as fraud, his suspended sentence would hopefully then revert to a custodial sentence and maybe, just maybe, he'll then think twice before conning others. I'm tempted to buy something from him in the hopes he scams me so I can deal with this!!

I have two of these and they are excellent little things. One is primarily used as a Bluetooth speaker, the sound quality is really very good indeed. Also use it for jam sessions at home (when we could!) and you can run 3 instruments at the same time as well as a backing track simultaneously. VERY handy for one amp to be able to do. Got one in my little studio/office too which is used to listen to music during working hours, to plays bass through, as a reference monitor and to recorded sound bite through. Really quite a versatile thing!! If you want a good all-rounder, this is it.

@TheLowDown - you state opinion as if it were fact. The important thing is that the above is entirely opinion based. It's not necessarily wrong, but it is opinion. I utilise my entire fretboard across my 6 strings, I also very much enjoy my 10 string. Consider them different instruments, you can't play Mozart accurately on a 4 string, I can on a 10 string. Furthermore, none of us 'need' to play bass at all, but we choose to. I choose to play 6, it's more fun in my opinion. There is no need for 5 strings, there is no need for 4 strings, there is no need for 2 strings. We do what we choose to do, don't confuse your preference to fact.
-
For what I play, I 'need' 6 strings. Need is subjective to what you want to do, what you like to do, how comfortable you are with an instrument and many other factors! You don't 'need' 4 strings, you don't 'need' 6 strings. Why anyone tries to justify everyone's 'needs' against their own set of personal parameters is beyond me.

Nice, lully looking rig! I was never a valve man, but since owning a Mesa strategy Eight:88 I am a full convert. Valves be the way forward!
