Afternoon all, (Only for sale now!) I'm tentatively putting up for sale my fantastic Warwick Streamer Stage 1 6 string bass in natural oil finish, the list price on this according to the Warwick website is €6,689 (or £5,989 if you prefer!) I'm asking £1450 ONO. The bass is overall in excellent condition, it has a few minor signs of play but nothing major. It does have 3 pin prick size holes on the edge of the bottom of the lower bout from a loose staple in a case it was sent to me in, but this is well hidden on the bottom side of the bass and could be easily filled should you so wish. Aside from the the bass is superb. (See final picture below). It plays exceptionally well with a lovely low action and a fantastic neck, you get the typical Warwick growl as well as a wealth of other tones. It has the 20mm spacing 'broadneck' as is standard on 6 string streamer stage 1 basses. It weights 5.4kg and has a standard 34" scale. The solid maple wings have a lovely 3D effect and the wenge fretboard is a joy to play. I'm based in Basildon, Essex. It can be posted or collected. If posted, I don't have a hard case, so either you'll need to send me one of yours to ship it in, or we can discuss options via PM. Some specs: - flame maple body, oil/wax finish - flame maple / bubinga NT neck (with volute 😎), oil/wax finish - wenge fretboard - Warwick “Made in West Germany” machine heads - brass bridge - 20 mm string spacing - brass just-a-nut 1 (if I am right, 1998 was the last year when they put this kind of nut on basses) - Dunlop Straplock Flush Mount - Basslines (Seymour Duncan) pickups - MEC preamp (3 eq, 18 V) - new jack plug Any questions, let me know! Russ.

Hey, Has anyone got Helix Native running? Would you recommend it for the £99 discounted price for Helix hardware owners? Seems like a good deal of 'bang for buck'. Any feedback would be appreciated! Russ.

Evening all, I recently purchased this pedal from @ikay, it is in absolutely flawless condition with the full box, paperwork, instructions and most importantly the plastic internal bag! Oh, and the Pedal too... I bought it as I found the internal looper on the Line6 Helix LT to be extremely limiting, this pedal is far from limiting! 99 patches, 3 hours of recording time, up to 99 overdubs per patch, backing drums, and importantly for me, the auto start function so the loop start when you hit the first note. Very handy. The reason why I'm selling is that I've now set up a home studio (which this little pedal was the inspiration for...) so the RC-3 is now redundant and I quite fancy buying the Helix Native VST which the sale of this should mostly fund. Asking £85 with delivery included. Any questions, please ask!

I shall give it a try sirs! Great suggestions so far!

Another item bought from Alan, excellent service all round! Really great guy to deal with! Top marks sir.

Many thanks good sir! That brings my VST count to just under 80... not quite your 5000+, but it's day 1 and it's a start! :)

Can I just send you a hard drive and you copy them all on to it for me! It'll save me the trouble! 😂

And now I'm trapped deep down a rabbit hole...

This is the only one I've actually downloaded... not a bad little drum VST to star with! Well, Norwegian Folk Trip Punk is what I'm aiming for... Realistically, I have no idea. I'll start by getting to grips with the basics of recording via traditional bass/drums/guitar etc. and I dare say most of what I'll do will be based around that. However... I'm all up for broader horizons. I'm tempted to get Reason as I remember that being fun to use back in the day! Let's start with free VSTs, is there anywhere to get a good bank of free VSTs to have a play with before perhaps then committing to paying for a few.

Evening all, I've recently set myself up with a little home studio, I have all the hardware I need (for now!) and am running Reaper as a DAW until my new laptop arrives, I'll then be running Cubase (although Reaper seems pretty decent!) I'm drowning in a sea of choices when it comes to VSTs... I don't really know what's good, what VSTs are worth having, if there are decent collections of free VSTs etc etc. So, as much as I am doing my own research, I'd very much appreciate a little guidance/advice from 'those in the know'. Free is better at the moment as the wallet is a bit lean after the initial hardware set up! Thanks in advance! Russ.

bought a pair of AKG K702 Headphones and a Focusrite 2i2, both in excellent condition, both arrived very quickly! Another trustworthy member of the bass basschat community!

eBay massively favours the buyer. If you sold the flight case, and he came to inspect, and for whatever reason decided not to buy (or in your case returned 5 minutes later) eBay will absolutely side with him. When being paid by PayPal the buyer has the right to returns even if you state 'no returns'. Same rights as a buyer purchasing from a shop. The plus side here is that he probably thought he got the steal of the century, I mean a flight case with a Markbass 4x10 for £100? THAT is a great deal! His idiocy of not reading the full ad will likely be a lesson learnt for him. You did nothing wrong, he just didn't read the advert. Happens I'm afraid! Maybe take photos without the cab just so no foolish fool can make the same mistake!

NRD (New Rig Day) Mesa Boogie Strategy & Two Mesa 4x10 Cabs.
binky_bass replied to binky_bass's topic in Amps and Cabs
I think Mesa just built out cabs from what they have lying around! One of my cabs has a switchable crossover and tweeter dial, the other just has the tweeter dial, plus I can't see in the catalogue any that were with the silver/tan grille, I suspect the silver/tab grille one was perhaps a custom order that didn't come to fruition. -
Once you've successfully sold a bass abroad, that trepidation will pass. I've sold more basses than I remember to those overseas, Mostly to Europe, but some to USA, Brazil, Russia (Russia was a concern as they have a habit of 'losing' large private parcels from the UK). But all have arrived with no issue. If you follow the basic rules (insurance, packaging, money clearing etc) then you'll be fine.

Evening, I'm debating putting together a little home studio and I have no idea really where to start... I don't have much knowledge in this area, and I'd appreciate some guidance on a half-decent (but relatively budget) set up. I am starting from absolute scratch and have a clean slate to start from. What do I need? What's good? I only have a small space to work with so please bear that in mind! Treat me as an absolute newbie. Thanks in advance! Russ.

I have a Hartke... Currently serving as a garden potting table. (Disclaimer: It was utterly beyond any kind or repair! All speakers ruined and the chassis riddled with damp and mould.)
