I make sure the bass is broken before sending... that way there's no surprises.

So, I've been trawling eBay to see what 6 string basses are on offer and came across these... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153818811958 £6 for a set of 6 strings for bass... I have no doubt whatsoever that they will very likely be utterly unusable and terrible, but the bargain hunter in me is too curious, I have bought a set and will update once they're delivered. £6... they can't possibly be good, can they?? 🤔

Helix Floor/LT/HX/Stomp/PodGo owners' Club - Tips, Ideas & Patches

Took delivery of a pre-owned Boss RC-3 yesterday, definitely solves the Helix's poor excuse for a looper. -
Eurosender. Myself and @Hellzero have sent probably 50+ basses from the UK to Belgium and vice versa. PayPal works, they'll charge a fee though, so work that out with the buyer to ensure you know what you'll actually end up with. International bank transfers work to, you'll need to get your IBAN number, usually available somewhere in your online banking. Again, they'll charge a fee and you need to be sure on what exchange rate your bank is using as they often use their own rates. A hard case is almost essential. Or some EXTREMELY robust packing. Be sure to insure! I've only had one issue and thank god it was insured! Follow your common sense and you'll be fine!

Strymon build absolutely superb pedals. However, it really depends on what you want to do with your effects. Are you REALLY going to utilise a Big Sky to it's full potential? My favourite Reverb pedal of all time is the Rocktron Cyborg Digital Reverb, I bought one for £20 from here years ago and it is superb. Only sold it as I bought a Helix. Have you considered a Helix LT? Reckon you can get one for £500 second hand if you find the right deal. I have one and the Reverb and Delay facilities it has are fantastic and hugely expressive.

Hi, Up for sale is my recently acquired Yamaha BB414 bass is White. We all know these are superb basses, this one is no different. Firstly, the truss head is pretty much threaded, so unless you have one of those very handed Allen Keys designed for threaded tips, it is difficult to adjust. Hence the £120 price. However... the action is low and the neck is straight, the action is 2mm under the 12th fret on the E, so it is exactly where 90% of people would want it! No crackles at all from the electronics, it plays perfectly and sounds great. I am a man that prefers very low action, and frankly I wouldn't change the currently set up even if the truss tip wasn't threaded. It has a few minor knocks (see photos) but overall is a fantastic bass for the money, low action, straight neck, perfect electronics etc. Collection from Basildon, Essex or I can post for £15 (though this will be UNINSURED and st your risk, unless you want to pay more for insured post). Any questions, please ask! Russ.

I've been having a playing with my Helix LT and for all it's excellent bells and whistles, does anyone else find the looper to be somewhat lacking? Unless I'm not using it properly, there is no 'auto start' function and you can't save a loop other than storing one single looping session as part of a created effects bank, and even then it disappears when you shut down the system. I mean it does 'loop' but I can't help but feel they could of made it substantially better without really any extra cost! Anyone else not vibing the looper on the Helix? Russ.

Overwaters are like a poor mans Wal, except they're just as good! I've had 3 Overwaters (still have the 7!) and they are all exceptionally good instruments, fantastic build quality and sound unique and fabulous.

@snorkie635 it was all a long con for me to get the bass! You see I stole the Docs Delorean, went back in time, hypnotized you into ordering the bass and subtlety used the 'inception' technique to see the bass flow from person so person until it landed with @ambient who was then in turn hypnotized into selling it to me. Someone better not hypnotize me into selling it... 🤔

What's The Best Deal You've Ever Had?
binky_bass replied to binky_bass's topic in General Discussion
@4000 RSN are my initials, a bit 'indulgent' to call it my Signature Bee, but I wanted something absolutely and irrefutably mine. And Binky, he was one of the first Characters Matt Groening was known for as part of a comic strip called 'Life In Hell' prior to The Simpsons. When I was younger I used to doodle Binky on anything I could doodle on. Also, the very first introduction to The Simpsons, as a short sketch, was aired on the day I was born. So a few tie-ins their. I think Matt is actually aware of Binky's existence... no phone calls to appear on The Simpsons yet though! 😂
