  1. I have seen your Fodera and the Warwick... now they are examples of excellent build quality. Sadly, this guitarron (to me anyway) is not an acceptable quality. You have clearly made no effort to hide any 'problems' so I absolutely believe you are selling it honestly, for that there is no question! And you are of course entitled to ask any price you wish, but for me personally (I only speak for myself) it is quite obvious that this guitarron is not built to a high standard, visible from your pictures. It is yours to sell at any price, but many here on Basschat have an eye for quality! As I say, good luck with the sale! Your Infinity and Fodera are beautiful things.
  2. You don't need to be an expert in Mexican Guitarrons to see that the build quality is drastically lacking in this instrument. A €200 Harley Benton bass or guitar is built with an infinitely better quality that this instrument. There are basic rules that ever the most low budget of luthiers subscribe to, and what is visible in these pictures is far from the most basic of quality controls. To say that these issues are because 'it is Mexican' frankly is insulting to Mexican luthiers. There are a number of builders in Mexico that build basses, guitars and Guitarrons to a standard that far exceeds what I can see of this. Apologies if these comments are harsh, but they are absolutely true.
  3. Can't get much more valvey that the 8 KT88 Mesa valves that live inside this beast... This is simply the best, by a fairly long way, amp I've ever used, and I've used MANY! Can't say much more than that really. VALVES!!!
  4. The build quality shown in your pictures tell me this is 100% not for me. I hope you sell it though!
  5. At €1200 I would think a good luthier would not use screws that go all the way through the wood, or glue a nut like that. My opinion of course, but the build quality looks concerning.
  6. The nut looks quite poorly glued and the 3rd machine head appears to be coming off as well as some of the screws from the other machine heads coming through the wood... are these modifications done after the initial build? I ask because I've always had an interest in these but those point are of a concern, to me they are telling signs of the quality of the build if they are part of the original design.
  7. No problem! Just personal curiosity. I wonder if W&T would consider maybe fitting the electronics outside of the metalwork and perhaps using small high strength magnets under the top wood to affix the scratch plate and metalwork. This would then give the option for the bass to look as it is, or for these pieces to be removed with no visible holes in the wood... then all parties could be catered for! Just thinking out loud!
  8. I really do rate W&T basses, they are exceptionally well built and sound fantastic, I am sure this bass is no exception! But I must say, to my eye, the look of this bass is too 'complex'. For me, the bass would look infinitely better without the metal and plastic bolted to the body which seems to have no function other than to create aesthetics which I think will very much divide people! Does the clear plastic piece and two pieces of metal come off? If so, would you be able to take a photo without them? I am curious to see the bass is a more natural state!
  9. I'm pretty sure he lost credibility with anyone credible! The man was an absolute joke and I would never touch one of his basses again on principle. I have NEVER seen someone in so much denial as Jon. A proper fool.
  10. Rocktron Cyborg Reverb. Best reverb pedal hands down, I've owned many and this one nails it. Hard to find, but reasonably cheap if you do find one. Only sold mine as I'm now using a Helix.
  11. I also had one... the very same as @Hellzero. Very capable amps, better tone that you might expect from a Bugera. If you're after power for pennies on the pound, this really is the only option!
  12. Hi all, Need to raise a few funds after completing the infinity+1 deal done with @Hellzero! This is a rather nice Harley Benton CST-24HB hollow body electric guitar, brand new strings, lovely action, it plays superbly and the build quality is really very good indeed. It is in excellent condition, one of the tuners has the rear gear cap missing but this has zero impact on anything, just the cap that covers the closed gear! The best £125 guitar you'll ever buy! Collection from Basildon, Essex under strict social distancing rules. Alternatively I can post, but this must be at your risk as I don't have a hard case and will need to cobble something together! (+£15 for postage). Pictures below:
  13. Not a bad price for one of these... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/193431376522
  14. Hi all, I'm moving on my Boss Katana 50w guitar amp as I have a Roland Cube 60w and neither see much use but the Roland stays as it's 10w more powerful and that was pretty much the only deciding factor in which I wanted to keep! The Katana is a great beast, loads of tone and effects options. This one is in pretty much pristine condition and will come with the USB lead, kettle lead and even the 1/8 to 1/4 inch jack converter. No box though! Best price online I can see is £219, some places are north of £250, so I'm putting the value at £150 considering you'd be hard pressed to tell it's not new! I'm open to trades, anything of equal value may be of interest, particularly basses, guitars etc. Try me, I can only say no! Picture below. I'm based in Basildon, Essex and I can post, or you can collect (at your risk). If you choose to collect, it will be done with strict social distancing measures in place, don't be offended by not being allowed past the driveway!!!
  15. @Jimelliottbassist You're looking for one of these aren't you?
  16. Even £1000 is too much. £800 is a fair price on a Bongo 6 if you dont want to loose money when/if you move it on.
  17. @Hellzero is the confusion! A permanent unrelenting source of confusion!
  18. D'Orazio is the name of the company that make the MarkBass strings. I've been using D'Orazio strings for some time (largely because I bought 26 sets of 6 string bass strings for £200 a while ago). They are perfectly reasonable strings, not quite Elixir standard, but very useable.
