At least he's finally accepted that musicman is his live sound, even if musicman don't make them. I wonder why Fender don't sell a version?

I thought you could buy that version, with the MM pickup?

Ampeg amps and cabs, like the rest of the band he's been on in ears for years though and he only has one speaker out of 24 mic'd up!

Still seems strange, seeing a RHCP stage set without a couple of GK stacks behind him!

  3. Congrats on the new amp. I lent my Warwick streamer and Barefaced big twin 2 to a friend last weekend, and he used it with a ABM600 and Sansamp para driver. F**k me did it sound good!

I think it will vary according to the structure of the pub. Their manager should approve payment first, then someone at Concur. This stage may only happen once, but occasionally four people instead of two are involved, in two stages.

Do you have a contact at the pub you can prod? The booker, or the manager? Or both? It's easy for a transaction to stall if they're waiting for someone to action it, and that someone has no idea they're expected to wake up and press some buttons... 9_9

our drummer now deals with these type of payment gigs, maybe that’s where the problem lies 😂

I got two emails within about 10 minutes from my local small live music venue. The first announcing Paul McCartney is playing there tomorrow night. The second to say it's sold out.

Same venue that Foo Fighters played their Glastonbury warm up. They do manage to punch above their weight for an old cattle market.

I like that venue, I’ve seen Reef and Fatboy Slim there

  6. Saw Red Hot Chili Peppers at Old Trafford cricket ground last night. First time I’ve ever been to that particular venue. The guests staying at the Hilton on site had a great view from their balconies. Was meant to be going with a group of friends, but for various reasons a lot couldn’t make it and it ended up just the wife and myself. Had a great time, band sounded good, would’ve liked Fleas bass a little higher in the mix but I guess I’m biased, and it could’ve been down to where we were standing, as always seems to be the way at outdoor gigs. Caught some of Thundercat set, he seems like a very likeable chap, but I got kind of bored after a while. Have to say, I hope I’ve still got Fleas stage energy at 59yrs old, he’s like a puppy being let off the lead!

I love my ABM to bits. I bought this EvoII Rc 5 years ago, it's a 2008 model.
After gigging it with a cheap furry Chinese case that I got for about 20€ I bought a Gator case for it in 2020. The weight is more of course but it has fallen two times with no damage and I think it looks good as hell.
Having bought the 3 space tack version, I managed to mount a small power strip to power the head, the pedalboard and the Mooer Radar with a single socket, I also store all the cables I need for it in the remaining room on top of the head.
I play with my P basses and a Gallien Krueger CX 210 cab, at times I also use it combined with the CX 410 cab.

I still have my very early Evo RC, they look so cool, but are an utter b***rd under stage lights when you’re not yet familiar with the layout!

    It needs more than that.

They play their way. They always sound like them. That's the point of multiple demos from different players.

At least The Bass Channel has 4 or 5 different players with different styles.

Completely agree, but sending one to someone with 775k subscribers would be a far better start than the tumbleweed experience while we wait for a Ashdown demo! 😃

Their social media game is really weak compared to others.

When others launch a new product there's often 10 youtubers revealing their demo vids on launch day. They are provided with units in advance so there's loads available at launch.

They really need to be doing that sort of thing these days.

I'm looking forward to the demo - I want to see if I can hear the fans!! :D

Completely agree. Look at companies like Darkglass, the day a product is launched there’s videos all over YouTube by the likes of Nate Navarro, Amos Heller, Patrick Hunter. That’s a lot of views of your product in a very short space of time. I really like Ashdown, and their customer service is legendary, but they’re really missing a trick here

  10. Has anyone seen any kind of marketing video of the 750 yet?? I find it really odd that Ashdown have launched a £1500 amp, which shows as being available to buy, yet there’s not one single launch/demo video to accompany it
