1.
Swap the tuners for Hipshot Ultralites and the dive will go.
Thanks for the tip, I will take a look into that.
2.
That's a beautiful thing ern.
Thanks man, only one gig but very encouraging so far.
3. Well I finally did it! I've fancied trying one of these for years, initially put off by reports of massive neck profiles, and also the thought that people who know what, or rather who's signature bass it is, expecting you to be able to pull off an onslaught of overdriven riffs, licks and tricks. All I can say is I wish I'd thought "sod it" sooner! Bought from our very own Torvic, it was due to arrive on Thursday but a delay with UPS meant it arrived late afternoon on Friday, just a few hours before I had to leave for a gig, so it was a case of tune it, try it, gig it, in a very short space of time. First impressions, it's very well built, a good level of fit and finish, it feels like you could knock down walls with it! Was able to take it straight out and gig it last night, set up was fine, and im guessing Vic restrung it recently, still lots of snap and bite in the strings, which going by the coloured ball ends I'm thinking are D'Addario Pro steels, which I use on most of my basses anyway so that was a bit of a result. I played it in mono mode through a GK MB Fusion and a Barefaced Big Twin 2, I did have a Ashdown James Lomenzo hyperdrive plugged in which I used on just a few songs. Sound wise, to me at least, it sounds like a P bass on steroids! Soloing just the split P pup gives you a typical p bass tone but with added meat, due to the DiMarzio pup. Using both pups on full seems to reduce the volume slightly but really smooth the tone out, I found for me the sweet spot was to have the P pup wide open, woofer pup at about 60% and tone on full. It sounded fantastic for last nights rock covers gig, lots of clarity and bite but with a real weight to the bottom end. It does feel a fair bit heavier than my Bongo, but not enough that it's going to cause me a problem. It does have a small amount of neck dive, lettimg go of the neck sees it drop to a more or less perfectly horizontal position, so not a huge amount of neck dive but it does drop slightly when you let go. I've been using a Neotech mega strap and, as much as I love it, I'm thinking that I may buy something different for this bass, the added weight and that slight neck dive doesn't seem to be helped by the neotech's springy feel. On the whole though, I'm really glad I finally went and did it, slightly saddened that it meant saying goodbye to my beloved Streamer to fund it but I'm sure once I've played this a bit more it'll more than make up for it! 4. My newly acquired Yamaha Attitude Limited II in Sea Foam Green! 😁
5. Just bought a Yamaha Attitude Ltd from Vic. Smooth and easy transaction, bass arrived well packaged and in top condition. Would highly recommend dealing with Vic!
6. I once bought an amp from a guy, who let me use his SR1205 to try the amp out. It was a fantastic thing to play, the neck was slim and fast, lovely range of tones, and the B string sounded really tight and focused. I spent more time talking to him about the bass than I did about the amp I was buying!
7. Just sold my Warwick Streamer LX to Freddie. Very smooth transaction, met up in person to do deal, very nice guy. Would not hesitate to deal with Freddie again.
8. Love Remco's playing, he's awesome!
9. It's the Big Twin 2 that I use, 2x12. More than enough volume for my needs!!
10. No experience with GK Neo cabs, but I use my MB Fusion through a Barefaced Big Twin 2, and its monstrous!
11. All in excellent condition. Bass is currently on hold, looking like it's sold pending the payment/collection arrangements.
12. Beautiful '09 Warwick Streamer LX4 in natural finish. Flame maple body, ovangkol neck and wenge fretboard. Lovely slim, fast neck makes it such an easy bass to play. Bass has had luminlay fret markers professionally installed by Simon Bamber at SiCo setups. You simply hold a UV torch over each fret for 5-10 seconds to charge them, I will include a torch. Very versatile, excellent sounding bass, 2 band MEC eq with the vol knob being a push/pull to put the bass into passive mode. It's in excellent overall condition, the only marks are a small indent above the P p/up from years of having my thumb resting there, and a small mark between the bridge and rear strap pin which I've tried to photograph but you do really have to look for it to notice it. The bass has strap locks fitted and will come with a Warwick hardcase, one of the lighter weight Rockcase models. The price is based on the bass being collected from me in Bristol, I'm happy to travel a bit to meet up and hand the bass over in person. However, I do have a box and some packing materials should you wish to arrange a courier. The only reason I'm selling is that GAS has gotten the better of me and TorVic's Attitude LTD II is available again! 13. That would involve selling off a couple of basses and hoping yours didn't sell in the meantime!
14. Damn! GAS attack! Love the LTD II in that colour.
15. I imagine if Guy Pratt is still an active member here then he's going to trump most of us!! 😄
16. Very sorry to hear of your loss.
17. If you like the GK tone I would try a MB Fusion out, I've just replaced my Tonehammer 500 with one and I'm very pleased with it. my previous two class d heads were the TH500 and a GB Shuttle 9.2, the TH did a lovely warm vintage tone, the Shuttle did a great, modern hi-fi type of tone, the MB Fusion does both. Paired with a Barefaced BIg Twin 2 for gigs, it's plenty powerful enough for my needs.
18. Just picked up this GK MB Fusion, used it for a couple of gigs so far, and have to say the combination of Bongo, MB Fusion and Barefaced BT2 is absolutely monstrous! 19. Had a good gig last night, lots of dancing, re-booked, and got told by the lady in charge of the venue that she will be sending our details to all the other pubs in the chain and recommending they book us! Also first gig with the GK MB Fusion, used my Bongo 4HS into my Big Twin 2 and it sounded monstrous! Got another gig tonight so might give the Warwick Streamer a trial through it tonight. Very happy!

Kev's Feedback

Just did a amp trade with Kev, great guy to deal with, would not hesitate to deal with Kev again.
21. I picked one of these up in a trade for my TH500 with Kev last night. Been playing about with it today and so far I love it. Granted, I've only played it solo'd at home, so not at high volume or in a band mix, but it is everything I hoped it would be and more! Update: Sh*t a brick these things sound good! Neighbours have gone out so had chance to work it a bit harder through my BF Big Twin 2, I think you're going to be very very pleased with it!
22.
Cut out the middleman and just buy it! Seriously though, this amp has something for everyone, it's a cracker. Unfortunately I've just spent £225 on my car, so unless something remarkable happens it doesn't look like it's coming to discreet towers, unfortunately.
I think it would be perfect for me, unfortunately I'd need to sell my TH500 to finance it, and with a busy few weeks of gigging I can't really risk being amp-less! ☹️
23. Really need to try one of these at some point!
24. Enjoying the TH500, but it doesn't seem to stop me looking at GK Fusions, to the point I tried having a deal with the Fusion 550 which was in the classifieds recently. Still gassing for a Yamaha Attitude ltd, and I can also add the 40th anniversary Spector Euro 4LX in blue, and a Dingwall NG-2 to the gas list too!
