  6. I've just taken possession of Benedict's beautiful Guild Starfire - it's exactly as described and arrived incredibly well packaged. I'm a bit nervous about having basses shipped to me, especially hollow bodies like this, and Benedict assured me there was nothing to worry about and answered all my nit-picking questions in detail. A wonderful experience throughout, Benedict has been a pleasure to do business with. And he threw in a spare packet of strings!

  22. Beautiful! Big Jim Lea fan here as well - crank that bridge pickup through some overdrive and you're laughing! I might be mistaken, but I don't think there's a traditional mudbucker under that neck pickup cover, but something a bit more refined.
  23. During my limited experience with Stingrays and Ray-style basses I always found the G string to be very weak - not in volume necessarily, but it always vanished 'in the mix'. Compression didn't really help.
