  1. I used to be in an Elbow tribute band, called a r s e. Most people couldn't tell us apart.
  2. To Blow Off And Things - Cardiacs
  3. If our body rebels against a bass it's just not meant to be. I had a beautiful old Rickenbacker 4001 years ago and the neck was so wafer-thin my hand would cramp up pretty quickly. Happy 21st birthday btw 😁
  4. Explosia - Gojira
  5. You're My World - CILLA
  6. 4 Ever Delayed - Manic Street Preachers
  7. The Everlasting - Manic Street Preachers
  8. Windows - Kansas
  9. The Chamber - Lenny Kravitz
  10. Be Stiff - Devo
  11. That looks like a recurring nightmare I used to have.
  12. Night Nurse - Gregory Isaacs
  13. Pink Cigarette - Mr Bungle
  14. Clearly not you, but thank you for taking the time to comment anyway.
  15. Cygnus X-1 - Rush
  16. Wow. So this is where Mark Walker got to! I always loved his videos on YouTube, his playing and tone were fantastic, as was his singing. I have to say I totally get where he's coming from. For years I made excuses for RIC, the sort of "yeah they're a terrible company but if you want "that" sound you have to put up with it", but then I thought, why should we? As I've got older I've found much more pleasant ways to get that sound.
  17. I haven't been too impressed by the look of Ashdown's basses, but I am a sucker for a pink bass! The neck looks particularly sweet.
  18. Trampled Under Hoof - Mastodon
  19. A Fool For Your Stockings - ZZ Top
  20. I love Ashdown, but... I'll refrain from commenting on this 🤐
  21. Lucifer's Friend - Lucifer's Friend
  22. Up On The Roof - The Drifters
  23. Sadly when I've seen Cheap Trick live, that technique combined with a 12-string bass and distortion results in a huge mess. Sound techs have enough trouble with a 4 string! As much as I love Tom Petersson and his use of the 12 string, I think his best sound was with the Thunderbird, both live and on record.
  24. Of course they are not normal. They are extraordinary. Not sure what you mean by "octopus music machine" though...
