  1. The current models have an updated bridge with adjustable saddles. Still got that massive mute system, but the Hipshot's a direct swap if it's a pain. Some ltd edition Ricks are coming out with single truss rods but I don't think they're standard. That said, if you're competent at setting up a bass, a double truss rod isn't too much of a headache.
  2. I've always loved Gus basses, but now you've mentioned dildos...
  3. I love the talking setting - East St Louis Toodle-oo!
  4. I didn't mean any disrespect, I think it's beautiful!
  5. That scratchplate... my eyes! https://www.guitarworld.com/news/fender-japan-hama-okamoto-katana-bass?utm_content=bassplayer&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=socialflow&utm_medium=social#google_vignette
  6. Don't write off the Epiphone Thunderbird because of neck dive, they can be prone to diving but a decent strap solves it. And some, like mine, don't dive at all.
  7. I don't know what this is 😆
  8. The distortion wouldn't come from the Demon, so you'd have to trigger that separately if you want to play clean when not screaming. Put your drive/fuzz right next to the wah and practice your tap dancing 😆 I should point out that the Demon has both guitar and bass settings - to get the scream, leave it in guitar mode and crank the low EQ on the pedal to avoid losing your low end.
  9. So, Cliff Burton then 😆 The best wah pedal I've found for that scream is the Ibanez Weeping Demon - a regular bass wah isn't going to manage it. Use lots of Muff as well.
