  1. Apples and Oranges - The Pink Floyd
  2. I always used 50-110 in my drop C days. Plenty of rattle but I liked that - I was playing COC/Down-esque metal so that extra growl and flexibility was great when improvising under the guitar solos I'll admit, I only went for that gauge as they were heavier than normal. I didn't realise you could get heavier sets back then, but I was perfectly happy with them.

  8. Just like Eddie - Heinz
  9. Colin Hodgkinson, one of the most astoundingly original and unique voices of the bass, spent a time playing with Whitesnake. Always looked like he was having a hell of a good time doing it though!

  11. S&M - Thin Lizzy
  12. Jenny Kissed Me - Peter Wyngarde
  13. Cardiac Arrest - Madness
  14. Carry on Doctor - Sons of Merrick

  19. You're welcome to pop in and have a go next time you're south of the river Paul 😁
  20. I've had three and the weight has varied. None have been particularly heavy. I too replaced the machine heads with Gotohs, like @Jean-Luc Pickguard , but this was purely for appearances. I even added an ebony thumbrest - useless but looks great! Wonderful basses, if you find a good one. Mine was one of the first in the country and has a lovely dark fingerboard.
  21. Ryan bought my Tech 21 Dug - easy comms, quick payment, great to deal with! A trustworthy BCer.
  22. Noonward Race - Mahavishnu Orchestra
  23. The Grand Illusion - Styx
  24. I love St Anger. It's one of the most honest things they've ever made. However, like any Metallica post '92, it's far too long and could happily lose two or three songs. It does sound horrible, but it's supposed to. It's a primal scream.
  25. I'm A Loser - Beatles
