  1. Fair point. I always get mine on Amazon, no issues yet thankfully! Luckily I rarely need to buy them as they last ages 😄
  2. Crawling Up A Hill - John Mayall
  3. I'm somewhat baffled as to how this is still here!
  4. I didn't think that was much of a saving until I saw how much they were asking originally... 😳
  5. Valley Boy - Manic Street Preachers
  6. My funeral song! Dandy - Kinks
  7. I've got to disagree there - the first three Sabbath albums have a very clearly defined mix to my ears. It's a very live, hard stereo-panned sound and I've always found it easy to pick out Geezer's basslines. Vol 4 is a murky mess though. I always felt Geezer sounded a lot more discipline on the Dio material, but then so did the band as a whole. Less improv.
  8. A lot of Never Say Die sounds like it's played with a pick - and a Rickenbacker, despite what Geezer says 😄
  9. When I saw him play with G//Z/R supporting Fear Factory he played with a pick, IIRC.
  10. Subterranean Homesick Alien - Radiohead
  11. The Great Southern Trendkill - Pantera
  12. This Strange Engine - Marillion
  13. One day I'm going to come and buy one of your basses just because you're so close. Alas, not this time, as me and Silverburst are sworn enemies.
  14. Indeed! He then moved on to ESP/LTD.
  15. I remember these! Late 90s, I think it was? I never got the chance to play one but always loved the sideways knobs. There was a more extreme-styled version as well, and later they made instruments with standard knobs. A good friend has one of their guitars and it's a great instrument.
  16. Nothing Left - Machine Head
  17. Snooze Button - Snot
  18. Mad thought - would it be possible to install the preamps into a pedal, thereby giving us humble SB700 players a chance to get those tones?
  19. The Rock - The 'oo
  20. Sweet Pain - KISS
  21. Paperback Raita - Beatles
  22. I adore the Fugazi bass tone but haven't come close to it with any Rickenbacker or Aria. I've always assumed it was the Aria but frustratingly I just can't get anywhere near it.
