  1. I don't but it's there on Google. It was up for sale recently.
  2. OHMSS. The main title theme. Just sublime. Great bass too!
  3. I'm quietly terrified of the day the Wickershams call it a day at Alembic. I read an interview with Ron a few years ago that suggested it would be a real possibilty when retirement comes. Admittedly the likelihood of me having the means to order a custom Alembic is very low, but it would be very sad if Alembic shut up shop.
  4. Reasonable questions IMHO. Hardly idiotic time wasting. I've had far, far worse 😆
  5. For a while that was an 'always there' for me as well, but only because my iPod had had a bit of a turn and I couldn't take it off 🤣 Fantastic album though so I didn't really mind.
  6. I don't remember the thread coming to a definite end - has it been scrapped? I thought there were some nice ideas being thrown around.
  7. I've had a bass posted to me wrapped in bin bags before...
  8. That figures. I thought it sounded a bit too bright and growly for a Tbird pickup! I was thinking of getting one and popping in a Thunderbucker but going by your video I don't think I'd need to. Although the chrome would look better!
  9. Is that really a standard Gibson Thunderbird pickup? It sounds great!
  10. What help do you need? Overdrive is such a personal thing. One man's meat and all that!
  11. I managed half an hour before my freeview box starting glitching. Quite a hair-raising story so far! One for iPlayer tonight I think.
  12. The Yes Album Sabotage (Black Sabbath) All Beatles
  13. Is that Mark? I like him but he always has to demo an extreme fuzz pedal at the end, just to throw in a few Sleep riffs. His Alembic video was cool though.
  14. Of the standard production models, the bolt-ons had the usual Warwick headstock. The through necks had a compact version of the beak headstock.
  15. There is the tiniest little orange glow coming from the valves - hardly visible. How do I check if they are microphonic? This is all new to me. I'm hoping it isn;t the power supply as the pedal lights up and works in bypass, but if it is, how easy is it to replace? I've not seen a power supply like it. The seller on Ebay is being very apologetic about the whole thing and offered a refund or discount. I don't really want to send it back so we've agreed to go halves on new valves. I might try to find someone local who has some spare valves I can try before buying the new ones. Any recommendations for new valves? I've heard mixed opinions on the stock ones.
  16. It's arrived! And it doesn't work. I'm hoping it's the valves. The light comes on and it works fine bypassed, but when engaged I have to crank the input and gain to hear anything, and then it's just a really weak fuzz. Should the valves glow? There's a very weak light coming from them.
  17. I never knew they weren't at it! They played the Dartford festival last year, but sadly I missed it as I couldn't face standing in a field all afternoon in that ridicuous heat.
  18. They look ok to me! The standard size elephant ears always look to big on a Gibson headstock IMHO. They seem to stick out too far.
  19. My old bass! Glad it's still in service.
