  1. I've just spent a nice couple of hours with the pedal. Inspired by Stuart Clayton's demo, I've been playing around with the Chris Squire setting. It's very, very impressive.
  2. I've got a couple of spare GL scratchplates. PM me if you like.
  3. Didn't he used to play a custom BC Rich as well? I'd completely forgotten about him. Understandably, so it seems!
  4. Just checked - my pre-order shows £18.59 as well. I was getting a bit worried for a moment!
  5. This. @Lozz196, even if you're underwhelmed by it at rehearsal, persevere. It's not hard to get a great sound, but it needs time and tweaking to get 'your' sound. But I reckon it's in there.
  6. So, a few weeks in, how's everyone getting on with it? A very nice new video here. It's good to hear a well-produced demo that avoids the expected Dug sound and shows some of the other sounds this pedal can do. The Chris Squire tone is particularly nice.
  7. Exciting! I'm speaking to the Guitar Weasel about getting one. I'm sure sound clips will help make my mind up!
  8. Agreed. If you listen to Signals, which is about 50/50 Rick and Jazz, the tones are clearly very different. The confusion between the two seems to stem from Moving Pictures, on which both basses are treated with a fair bit of distortion, so telling them apart is tricker. Also, on Moving Pictures, Geddy played the Jazz on the neck pickup so it sounds less like the scooped Jazz sound we're used to hearing from him.
  9. The should have had all tuners on one side, and had a massive droopy Jackson headstock.
  10. I think if you're wearing the dress and wig most people will know who you are supposed to be. If you get time you could draw on some sailor tattoos as well.
  11. Awesome. I'm starting to get the itch again. I must be firm. Get rid of those wretched stickers though!
  12. It fits the Epiphone case but you have to insert it headstock first or it catches the fur lining.
  13. Well there you go! I can't wait to hear it! Might even end up ordering one for my '51!
  14. Intrigued! My theory is, the pickup placement is more important than the pickup itself - a Jazz pickup in the Rick 'bridge' position still sounds like a Rick. I predict the overwhelming flavour when the new pickup is installed will still be that of a '51 Precision, but I'd love to be proved wrong! And also, how quickly did he make that pickup?!
  15. Definitely something extra on there... Almost sounds like a subtle talk box.
