I've never had a problem playing my Violin Bass sitting down as it weighs about as much as a box of tissues. It's an absolute joy to play. I did replace the knobs though. -

To be fair, you have picked the remixed version 😉 I think most productions of that era would pale slightly next to The Beatles' later albums. F A N N Y's certainly doesn't strike me as a bad production at all.
