  1. It also manages to sound absolutely nothing like Lemmy.
  2. I think all basses that originally had covers look better with them on, but I can't play with them in place. They just get in the way for me. That said, when a bass is not being used much for whatever reason I put them back on! Luckily they all still look great without the covers.
  3. Can't remember if there's an adjustable delay, but the pedal does have two settings - one is spring loaded like the Dunlop bass wah so it always returns to closed and works as soon as you rock it, and the other is like a trad wah that can be left in position but needs to be switched on and off. I think that makes sense...
  4. Gah! My favourite P bass finish. I really regret not buying one when I had the chance.
  5. I went for the white one. It had to be. I do wish it was a bit creamier, but it is off-white, being a darker shade than the scratchplate. I've just purchased an ebony tug bar and some Gotoh long stem tuners as the Wilkinson ones on at the moment don't quite look the part. They work perfectly well though. Pics to follow when they're on!
  6. Crazy talk I know, but might it be possible for me to jump aboard?
  7. Come and try mine mate, you'd love it
  8. Thomann have them for £523. Only Ebony left in stock though.
  9. Strange. I do think £599 is still a good price though. Lucky I got in early!
  10. Pete is now the (hopefully) happy new owner of my Tritonlab FET Overdrive pedal. Great chap to deal with, would happily do so again!
  11. Well after my initial uncertainty I quickly became enamoured with the Thunderbird. So enamoured that I got a bit silly and ordered some more, realised I didn't need three and put one up for sale. I can't stop playing them, such a thick growly tone. They aren't subtle or refined. And they really respond to pickstyle too, it really kicks up the aggro a few notches. With my current setup, I am very pleased indeed - I can easily achieve the Cheap Trick / Wishbone Ash tone. I have ordered some replacement Gotoh tuners however - the current ones are fine but don't look quite right. The old-fashioned long stem tuners should finish it off nicely.
  12. That colour's amazing. What do all the knobs and switches do?
  13. I've only had this a few weeks but became so enamoured of it that I bought a few more! I don't need them all so this one's up for sale. It's in as-new condition apart from the plastic stickers being peeled off the pickups and scratchplate and has only been played at home. It's a very growly, aggressive bass, and sounds just like the 60s Gibsons. Comes with the Epiphone hard case that was also purchased new. Collection from Dartford preferred or could meet somewhere mutually convenient. Can ship at buyer's expense.
  14. Don't forget Roger Glover, and Andy Fraser! As for Entwistle, although he was a key figure in Marshall's development (along with Townshend), he didn't actually use them for long. He soon moved on to Sound City/Hiwatts. Agreed. There simply wasn't a lot of choice back then, if you wanted to be heard!
  15. As daft as it sounds, a lot of Quo. Requires a lot of stamina to play it properly.
