  1. This has also been my experience. Even on the posher ones.
  2. What's happening with the body and headstock logo? Are they original?
  3. Interesting! Can you vary the crossover point or is it pre-set?
  4. How odd. I stumbled upon that video the other day. He's a monster player without a doubt, but I've never been fond of his tone. Sounds like Kermit on a trampoline.
  5. Ordered! Thank you very much. Does anyone know if I'll be charged now or when they deliver it? It wasn't clear on Amazon...
  6. A gift from a friend who doesn't use it anymore. I hate to use this word, but it's lush. I'm over the moon with it! The joy of flange.
  7. I've only ever had bad experiences at the Gallery - too numerous to list here, and enough to have left me happy to never visit there again - but I must say it is extremely pleasing to see them reaching out to the community in this way, and is a refreshingly friendly manner. A personable approach goes a long way. Welcome Charlie, and thank you for the introduction. I'll be sure to pop in next time I'm in the area!
  8. Didn't she used to play for Kill II This? I loooved her back in the day...
  9. Talking of Kiss, Lou Reed co-wrote A World Without Heroes on the infamous Elder album, and Bryan Adams contributed to Creatures Of The Night.
  10. Just bought a trio of pedals from Quilly, they arrived quickly and stunningly wrapped in the biggest bubble wrap I've ever seen. Great stuff!
  11. It's tempting! All the best Thunderbirds have had neck repairs don't you know 😂
  12. They probably assumed it was Eighties and gave you the benefit of the doubt.
  13. For the first couple of minutes anyway 😂
  14. I wouldn't know where to start I'm afraid! And... what is this 'clean' you speak of?!
  15. That's the one I have. It fits, but there's little space at the headstock.
  16. Whenever I play Rhythm Stick I use a pick in a crude Bobby Vega style. I think it works very well. I do usually play fingerstyle but I just can't pull off that tight burpy staccato style.
  17. It is a fiend, that bit! I used to play it in my old band from time to time and could just pull it off, but I played it the other day and it's gone 🤣 If ever you do need to play it, something I did was drop the 2nd and 6th note on each scale run, it made it far less hectic and still got the gist across. When you're playing that comfortably you can slot in the missing notes!
