  1. Recently updated to boot!
  2. Rickenbacker International Corporation Corporation?
  3. It's so good to hear these concerts presented properly after years of (admittedly pretty good) bootlegs. So impressed I was with Pegg's tone I actually started a thread about it a few years ago...
  4. I'm a massive Squire/Rickenbacker disciple, but my favourite bass tone on Drame is the Thunderbird.
  5. I've watched that video more times than I care to remember... 😆
  6. Exactly! The Slipknot one is disastrous.
  7. Another comedy demo but better tones on display than the Slipknot one. At least they twiddle the knobs a bit in this one.
  8. I couldn't tell you I'm afraid!
  9. That Tree was truly macabre.
  10. Cor, through-neck and everything! I've said it before, but I really don't know why the PP configuration isn't more popular.
  11. It's beyond dreadful, but my girls (8 and 5) love it, and it's harmless enough.
  12. If that's true, they went to great lengths to replicate Alan Johnson's physique.
  13. Demo's finally up! I'm intrigued. The concept is right up my street. Most of the tones on offer here are way OTT for my needs but the sound at 1:30 is very promising.
  14. I don't want to have it out with anybody, I'm just confused by the concept of flush frets! 😆
  15. I've got one of these! Hasn't been out of the case in ages though as I put flats on it... I will rectify that. It's a wonderful bass, great neck too - narrow but deep.
  16. David Coverdale
  17. Really? If the frets were flush with the fretboard that would render them ineffective surely?
  18. It's here! And I've got a house full of guests for NYE so can't try it out...
  19. Well, I've ordered one! It arrives tomorrow...
  20. John often said he liked the action so low that the strings were on the other side of the frets but I've never heard anything about fret filling. Having had the pleasure of playing the Status Buzzard belonging to @Wolverinebass , I can confirm they can handle a RIDICULOUSLY low action.
  21. Good answer 😎 Thunderbuckers get good reviews - I had a set in a Cataldo Fenderbird a few years ago. https://www.thunderbuckerranch.com/pickups Honestly, I prefer the stock pickups in my Epiphone Vintage Pro - a bit livelier with more top end. Mojos are meant to be good, and are cheaper with custom options available. https://www.mojopickups.co.uk/product/thunderbird-bass/
  22. Typical old growly Thunderbird or typical modern dark Thunderbird?
  23. Dear God, no.
  24. I remember when they first appeared a few years ago. IIRC it was a female-lead company. Paz Lenchantin from A Perfect Circle had a signature model. I'm actually quite tempted to get one, it looks like a ridiculous bargain!
  25. What do the little switches do next to the tailpiece?
