  2. Gonna Creep Up On You - Thin Lizzy
  3. Box of Six - Geezer Butler
  4. I had a Precision with a maple cap neck once - seriously growly and trebly. Just like Entwistle's Frankenstein. The neck was from a Roger Waters Precision, as far as I know the only Fender bass with such a neck.
  5. Good Morning Judge - 10cc
  6. Please Don't Touch - Johnny Kidd and The Pirates
  7. In A City Lining - Cardiacs
  8. Ceiling Unlimited - Rush
  9. Good egg! Really makes my teeth itch, seeing these strung backwards. Ditto Bass Collection.
  10. I always had a soft spot for these. Looks like you got one of the rarer finishes too - most that made it over here were blue or goldfish orange. I did buy one once a few years ago. Unfortunately, when it arrived the body had cracked clean in two. Edit: please tell us you've restrung it properly...
  11. Just finished reading, and... it's wonderful. "My Bass and Other Animals", only for weekend warriors and not globe-trotting session players and therefore something far closer to home and relatable. The chapter on lead guitarists is particularly accurate. More than anything, it's very funny from start to finish, and is written with huge warmth and affection. Even the glossary's great. And where else are we going to find a published book with an entire chapter dedicated to Basschat? If you've ever played bass in a band, or thought about it, buy this book.

  18. So What - Anti-Nowhere League
  19. Do The Dangle - John Entwistle
  20. When I saw Motorhead at Guilfest - or The Guildford Festival as it was them - they actually switched the power off mid-song.
  21. New York Mining Disaster 1941 - Bee Gees
  22. There's a wonderful little film from 1978 called The Shout. It's usually pegged as a horror film, but that's not really doing it justice. Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford wrote the soundtrack and From The Undertow is the main theme of the film. It suits the surreal mood perfectly.
  23. Take This Bottle - Faith No More
  24. 5 Minutes Alone - Pantera
  25. Bax are an absolute joke. A mate of mine is having a very strange experience with them at the moment.
