1. Never heard of Schick... Sure it wasn't Schack? http://schack-guitars.de/
 2.
To the OP - Don't play anything, just get this guy play it. Some lovely rearranging going on. Look at his fingers! 😨 http://youtu.be/eT98yd84iCE
3. Visually, I think the mk2 is the sweetest but if I ever got to order one (!) it would be the mk1 - the extra frets are nice but I prefer to have that extra playing space. The mk3... Always looked a bit 'off' to me.
 4. Due to drop in the next month or so but still no sign online...
 5. Not sure about the colours but the checkerboard binding is amazing! I doubt we'll see any over here though. These special colours tend to be special orders by dealers in very limited numbers. There was an all-white version a while ago that was probably the most beautiful Rick ever... Unfortunately Jon Hall pretty much swore off doing any more as the white finish is very hard to get right apparently.
 6.
Stow on the Wold? Just down the road from me, never knew he'd lived there, thought they were all West London boys.
They were, but I think rock star country piles are a bit thin on the ground in Shepherd's Bush.
 7.
Biggest surprise for me were Mastadon who I did not expect to enjoy more than the standard fare. I had intended to see the beginning of their set and then head over to watch Suicidal Tendencies. Instead (despite of the sound) I watched the entire set and think the arrangement quirks would have held them in good stead at an All Tomorrows Parties festival, great stuff and I will try and catch these guys in their own right.
I saw Mastodon at an ATP a few years back, and yes, they went down a storm. It did help that it was the year curated by Melvins and Mike Patton!
 8. Classy! That blue with the maple neck is stunning.
 9.
Either that or my generation is just dumb. Blue
😉
 10.
Maybe it's my generation. In the early 70, you never even heard the term "neck dive", you just strap up and play. Blue
It's been 40 years, the laws of physics have changed considerably since then.
 11.
It will make a right mess of the foam if you remove the velcro at a later date. Be aware of that and resale value of the pedal. Bloomin' daft idea the foam isn't it?
I was going to fix my Sheehan pedal to the pedalboard today. In two minds now!
 12. Shame there isn't a fancy one with a P pickup... 😕
 13. Couldn't you just attach the velcro to the foam?
 14. Very nice. Reminds me of my old Encore- my first 'proper' bass! Except mine had gold hardware. Any tribute to JD deserves applause as far as I'm concerned - monster player.
 15. I'm not a massive fan of Hawkwind, but the new stuff they're playing on Planet Rock is excellent. And yes, a fantastic bass thing going on.
 16.
MB1. ...Got any specific trades in mind?
Not really... I'm open to persuasion
 17.
I briefly owned a Sansamp VT bass pedal, the non DI version, but they appear to be the same drive circuit and controls. At both in house and gig volumes I was able to coax some stunning Ampeg-a-like tones from it and I thought I'd finally nailed the sound that I'd been after for God knows how long. But..... Once the rest of the band kicked in, the bass just wouldn't cut through. The Sansamp bass driver has a reputation for not cutting through due to its inherent scooped sound, but from what I'd read online about the VT, it wasn't supposed to suffer from this. But no matter what I did with it or however much I cranked the mids or the amp up, it just wouldn't work with the rest of the band - we play a mixture of pop, soft rock and indie numbers so it's not as though I was up against a wall of Marshall's. There was a lot of additional compression in there too which flattened a lot of my playing dynamics. Having said that, I've not really seen anyone mentioning these issues with the VT so maybe it just didn't play well with the rest of my gear? Sorry, I've got no experience of the SCR DI so can't comment.
Were you using the VT bass as a normal pedal between bass and amp or in the effects loop? The Tech 21 Character pedals sound best if you bypass your amp's preamp stage in my experience. Particularly if you use the speaker sim.
 18. Cor! I had a 4003 in this colour but sold it. Really want a 4003s though!
 19.
Stephen Stills. Check out his playing on the first CS&N album.
Good lord, yes!
