I am now the proud owner of Dave's Spector Euro. And a magnificent thing it is too. Dave is an absolute credit to our community. And his packaging is excellent too!

I only saw Yes once, at Hammersmith in 2003. But what an experience. A treasured memory. Now I remember, I had tickets to see The Syn at the London Astoria, but sadly it was cancelled. It would have been incredible to have seen him in such a relatively small venue.

How do people usually put weight on? 🙄

Sounds awesome to me - isolated and in the mix. Geddy's Jazz always sounded the best when he played on the front pickup only IMHO.

I get it. In my current covers band - nothing at all challenging - there are certain songs that I'm not 100% on. Enough to get by without anybody noticing, but there are always a few points where I have to concentrate to get through it. The other day, for a laugh, I listened to some of my first band's recordings and decided to play along. It was note-perfect, and I haven't heard them in over 25 years.

I'll stick with the Tonepump for now then, it seems to be more socially acceptable 😆

Absolutely magnificent.

Having two drummers playing at once doesn't just merge into one - it becomes bigger. Much bigger. It's quite thrilling to hear it live - I saw Melvins do it a couple of times, but King Crimson with three drummers at the front of the stage was incredibly powerful, and not just the volume levels.

My wife finds it difficult to be in the same room as Cardiacs or Kate Bush. The music, I mean.

In all my years of playing music I've never grasped the concept of playing behind the beat. Or in front. I'm sure I've been doing it, or hearing it, but if I have it's been subconsciously.

Thanks to an odd upbringing, I was familiar with Dread Zeppelin before I heard Led Zeppelin. Black Dog still sounds more natural to me as a slow reggae.

The Leeds is a KILLER pedal for bass. Much more to my taste than the VT Bass. I haven't used it in ages as I mainly use the DP-3X these days... every now and then I think of selling it but this thread has convinced me otherwise

I finally used mine last night and ended up playing until 2am. A worthwhile purchase. My only gripe is that three of the controls seem to function as overall volume controls only - I would have thought there would be separate volume controls for the instrument and ipod/phone.

It's a BC Rich Eagle. Good for metal.

After I made the order and payment they emailed me to say the strings had been discontinued 😕

The only strings I've ever taken a real dislike to were Elites. They were freebies from the Bass Centre, many years ago, but I really didn't get on with them. Swings and roundabouts though. I do love Rotosound! Just wish they lasted a bit longer.
