1. Is it just a trick of the light? I would sell my soul for that bass...
2.
If you do half your gigs through house amps or direct through PA, then a preamp makes perfect sense. It means you use whatever amp basically as a power amp, and you use your pedal board for the tone shaping. Means that you'll sound moreor less the same at every gig (which for me is a good thing).
Same for me. Also my sound these says comes from a Tech 21 Leeds as I can't find an amp that does the same thing - apart from an actual Hiwatt but that's a bit beyond my means!
3. I used to lust after a Hohner Jack in the window of the guitar shop near school when I was 14... Never had the courage to ask the fearsome shop owner for a 'turn' on it sadly.
4. To any Foxton fans in the South East - he's headlining the hallowed stage of the Dartford Festival this coming Sunday (19th July). A legendary bass player, for free?! I'll be there, at the beer tent.
5. Purely from memory, I would be surprised if the first note was an F# - all the other notes would suggest it's a G. Otherwise you would have the Satanic interval between F# and C which would sound truly diabolical and not very fitting for this sunny tune!
6. Cor, lumme! Bexleyheath you say? I'll be right over!
7. I am now the proud owner of Neil's Cataldo Fenderbird - and a truly marvellous beast it is! I am happy. Neil is an utter gent. He went out of his way to send me extra pics and kept in close contact throughout. Even had a happy little natter on the phone. He even threw in a strap for free. Top BCer - deal with confidence!

Byo

I've just parted company with my Fender Sub-Lime fuzz pedal but it's gone to a decent loving home, full of lots of other fuzzes of different shapes and sizes. They will do well with Byron - top bloke and a credit to our happy community. Deal with confidence!!!
9. Shame it doesn't work properly...
10.
As for the PJ.. I'm a P guy, but I've got a fair bit of work with a function band who do some tunes that cry out for bridge pickup burp.
Same for me. We had a few songs in our set that the P alone just couldn't pull off convincingly - well, 99% wouldn't notice but it bothered me! A Yamaha BB424 did the job admirably, and still let me use the classic P sound for most of the gig.
11. Bonkers. In a good way. What pickup did you use - Thunderbucker?
12. Hello from a just-outside SE Londoner
13.
I think they were ok in filming him, after all there's no expectation of privacy in a shop that's open to the public, and many do have CCTV to record such incidents. It was a bit crude to post it online, especially as the consensus seems to be that this particular customer wasn't the full shilling. That's the concerning part, and only seems to add weight to what the customer is complaining about - bad attitudes. Frankly, if what he's saying is true, it would probably annoy me too. Not enough to flail my arms and threaten to "twat" somebody, but my annoyance would probably be at the same level as this chap's.
Probably a good idea to take it down from here. We have no idea of what's going on or who that chap is. I can't see what further discussion can gain.
