1. Sophie popped by earlier and bought my fretless Jazz. Had a lovely morning talking bass and gear. Recommended BCer. Good luck with the fretless! Cheers Chuck
 2. Just sold Dave my extra-squelchy Digitech Bass Synth Wah pedal. A pleasure to deal with throughout, paid straight away and was patient when I had minor issues getting to the Post Office. Enjoy the pedal mate!
 3.
Just as well Keith Moon and John Entwhitsle found each other in that vehicle as the mess really works sometimes in the context of the Who.
Mess?!
 4. I've never seen an 8-string Spector! Apart from a modified one on YouTube. Are they on the website?
 5.
That sounds more like a kick drum than a bass.
+1 Pretty sure everyone was complaining about the general low frequencies rather than the actual bass guitar itself. A pretty common state of affairs at lots of gigs these days.
 6.
Interested in a LPB CV 50s P bass plus cash?
Tempting but I'll pass. Thanks for the offer. I might have gone for the yellow one though!
 7.
You'd think they could afford their own place.
Beat me to it
 8.
Yeah, that always gets overlooked I think. 'Magic Bus' on 'Live at Leeds' has incredible plectrum playing.
Totally agree. Live at Leeds is probably 50/50 pick and fingers. Fantastic pick technique, and yes, unfairly overlooked.
 9. I don't think it's an active/passive switch - you can disable the EQ but it's still running off the battery. Beautiful bass, massively under-rated. My fave bass at the LBGS.
 10. I'm endlessly fascinated by these basses. Something I'm not sure of re: the neck - what is a rolled fingerboard, and how does it differ to slab-cut?
 11.
I watched The Who - Live at the IoW Festival (1970?) on You Tube at the weekend. It's an amazing gig and well worth a hour and 20 mins of your time. What I did notice and have noticed in the past from watching his playing is his unique technique. Hi picking fingers flying everywhere. How does he play so well and quickly ? They guys a legend!
I'm surprised you noticed, JE has about 20 seconds of screen time in the whole thing! Incredible concert though.
 12.
So anyway, what about Rob Jones and his Ric 4003?
He had to sell his waistcoat and shirt to afford that Rick...
 13.
i ll have the strings for £40 if your willing..
Someone else already has first dibs on the strings I'm afraid! But at the moment they're for sale with the bass only.
 14.
Is there any chance you'd deliver if I cover postage ?
PMd.
 15.
What a lovely looking bass
'Tis isn't it.
 16. Yeah, I had to get the La Bellas from the US too. Had to wait ages too, everywhere was sold out it seemed!
