1. Two identical reviews of a Fender acoustic bass in this month's issue...
 2.
There are loads of photos of real basses. You just have to click past the silhouettes.
I see... It doesn't seem to work for me at work, I'll have a look later when I get home. Apologies to Mr Greben for calling your website daft.
 3.
As Edward Woodward once said: "Oh God! Oh Jesus Christ!"
The Lord's my shepherd, I'll not want...
 4.
Would be nice to be able to see some real basses..I'm sure that they do make some really nice stuff..
There are a few pics in the 'For Sale' link. Agree though, it seems daft not to have real pics on the actual website! Some intriguing shapes going on there.
 5. Just stop logging on to BC and forget about it?
 6. Veeery nice... I would love to hear what it sounds like!
 7.
I'd buy one of these in a second if it had a P width neck.
This.
 8. I may be wrong, but I imagine 'back in the day' if you wanted any sort of hi-fi system it would be comprised of large separate components becuase that was the only option, regardless of your concerns about sound quality.
 9.
Yup Cosmo, that's the one. Jazz body, Jazz neck with dots, twin overwound P pickups, VVT controls and lovely shiny black finish. Its a real floorshaking growl monster - the front pup sounds like a precision and the bridge pup is a super beefy jazz on steroids. Can't wait to gig it next weekend. Pics later today.
I used to have a BC Rich with the twin P pickups. I'm amazed more basses don't have it, it's a fantastic pairing! It's clear why Entwistle was so enamoured.
 10.
Back to Wunjos and Tom sorted out a great deal on a Fender Blacktop Jazz with a case and some spare strings. The bass is fantastic - pure growl and grunt - and the whole experience was brilliant.
Sounds like a bit of me! Is that the one with the twin P pickups?
 11. Bump. Blacula, Bump! And a smashing new price to boot. All offers entertained.
 12. I thought he was fantastic. And it was nice to be able to hear the bass on that show for a change too!
 13.
ie Rodger Waters, not a virtuoso but if he hadn't been in the band would they have come up with Dark Side or The Wall?
Not in a million years. Massive creative force. Still a mediocre bass player though.
 14. And how could I forget - the Mrs also got me tickets for next year's London Bass Guitar Show! It will be my first one.
 15. My dear Mum and Dad got me a Hofner Violin bass - gobsmacked to say the least. Always wanted one in tribute to Macca but could never really justify it to myself, not being able to imagine hen I'd put it to use. Well, it's a wonderful little bass, and it goes 'plonk'! Good old Dad (the mastermind of the operation) got a hardcase, 'proper' Hofner flats and authentic Hofner knobs to replave the bog standard black ones that come as stock. I'm genuinelly chuffed. The Mrs got me the Goblin box set (prog bass overload) and the Led Zep Celebration Day Blu-Ray (very little bass sadly).
 16. Congrats mate, pleased it's finally being shown! But guess what - I don't have Sky...
 17.
Chrome modification and knob/socket alteration alert! P
A vision of joy. Well done that man!
 18.
....making them look and sound nothing like the originals. Whether or not that's good or bad is in the ear of the beholder. For me it's a bad thing. Wanted one of these for years but this issue has put me right off. A good reissue might have sold me one each of these but alas I shan't be buying. Shame.
I was actually have a dig at Gibson - I suggested they no longer use chrome hardware and pickups because they look and sound good. My point being that Gibson's current TB incarnation isn't a patch on the originals...
 19. This will probably do better in the double bass section...
