My main basses at the moment are Squier 50s Precisions. I recently had the chance to try one of the US reissues and the Squiers are much more comfortable to play and honestly there wasn't much difference in the build quality.

I love Ashdown amps but their pedal range has always left me a bit nonplussed... apart from this pedal which is an absolute beast! One of the best distortion pedals ever. -

Pete's demos were famously accomplished. In Glyn Johns' autobiography he says he always found it daunting trying to improve on them. There's also a lot of the demos on the final Who's Next/Quadrophenia tracks, mostly the synth parts. John wouldn't have had any input on the demos -
