No such thing as a forgotten Beatles track ☺️

I like it a lot. It's definitely a grower, at the first listen I was surprised at how downbeat it is, but it still made me very emotional. If this the last thing they ever do, a part of me regrets that it's ending on such a sombre note rather than something celebratory. It's interesting how this new Beatles release is getting such a poor reception on here whereas the new Rolling Stones album, to my ears autotuned and massively overproduced, is going down a storm.

Sounds utterly bland to my ears. A demo with a pick or some distortion would have been nice.

It's like my VI, even though it's a shortscale all that extra body behind the bridge means it feels - and weighs - a lot bigger than you'd expect. Sad to hear this one isn't working out for you.

That bass solo doesn't sound like a standard Dano Longhorn to me, definitely a 6 string bass variant to my ears. My Squier VI sounds very similar, but I have read Glenn Campbell borrowed Carol Kay's 6 string Dano bass for that solo. It could have been one of these.
