  1. I dig it. Bass is very thick and present through speakers, but it's a bit of a roots-only bassline. I used to love Deftones when I was at school, until I heard "Back To School" ironically enough 😆 I've revisited them from time to time over the years. I still consider Chi to be probably THE bass player of any genre though. He was the instrument.
  2. Sculpture of Man - Manic Street Preachers
  3. Are You Afraid - Type O Negative
  4. Shoot Me Again - Metallica
  5. Vegetables - Beach Boys
  6. I've heard the story of it being double-tracked with an acoustic bass for years, I'd never have guessed that by just hearing the song but I have always thought the bass on that song sounds different to the rest of the album. Rain When I Die and Rooster, for example, both sound like a regular Spector tone to me.
  7. Chopped In Half - Obituary
  8. The Hospital Song - 10cc
  9. Daily Records - The Who
  10. Not Guilty - Georgie Harrison
  11. Sewn Mouth Secrets - Soilent Green
  12. Dark Dance - Robin Williamson
  13. I've owned a couple of these, although they were the standard red version without the Byrds inlay. It's sacrilege I know but I always preferred the sound with rounds - that's a very growly pickup, particularly being quite near the bridge. They're wonderful basses. Enjoy!
  14. This bass simply demands a crank handle.
  15. Funeral - Devin Townsend
  16. I think I've seen it on your channel!
  17. I Can't See My Feelings - Budgie
  18. The Charvel headstock is longer. I'm not expert but I'm sure Charvels were made in various countries, as are Jackson probably. They certainly had a very wide price range.
  19. The Jackson headstock always looked a bit compact to me. I used to own a Charvel bass (probably before you were born 😆) - THAT'S a headstock!
