As for the music itself, I've never been a fan of Cannibal Corpse but I listen to lots of other bands in a similiar style that I'm sure to the unfamiliar would sound exactly the same! It's refreshing to hear @SaimoN playing in a style not very common on here. Metal bassists unite!

Assuming the bass was ordered unseen... The Consumer Rights Act 2015 governs businesses selling goods or services at a distance and under the Act, a business must ensure: Goods are as described. Goods are fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. That if goods are faulty, the business must give a full refund up to 30 days after the item was purchased.

Even if it's delivered to you brand new, spotless and unplayed, you're entitled to a refund. If you've got concerns about the frets and electronics, get a refund and buy a decent one somewhere else.

Hmm... I wouldn't be happy with that. Personally I'd get a refund and spend another £50 elsewhere in the knowledge that you'll get an instrument in the expected condition.

What bass is it? If it was purchased new could they not replace it? You should be within your rights to request that.
