  1. You mean, you don't have to hit it so hard? 😁 To be fair, the video is an attempt to recreate the early KISS sound, so aggression, pick and slightly farty distortion are the way to go.
  2. Exactly! I expected burpy 16th-note hell from that pickup position, and instead it absolutely roars!
  3. Someone's made a replica of Gene Simmons' legendary lost LoBue bass from the 70s and blimey, who'd have thunk a Mudbucker in bridge position would sound so good?
  4. I'm the opposite - to me it's soulless, glossy, over-produced and empty. Mick sounds amazing thanks to autotune.
  5. Nothing Left - Machine Head
  6. Thought of another one - I adore Jack Bruce but can't get along with Cream... I blame Clapton. Thankfully JB had a magnificent solo career!
  7. Flight of the Ibis - McDonald and Giles
  8. I love Duff McKagan's tone and style, but Guns 'n' Roses... no, no.
  9. Savoy Truffle - Beatles
  10. Ah Ha - Butthole Surfers
  11. I was actually chatting to a mate about this yesterday. In hindsight, The Burning Red is a much better album than its reputation would suggest and, apart from some unfortunate rapping, isn't really a Nu-Metal album at all. It has aged well. Supercharger, however, definitely is 😆
  12. Margate - Chas and Dave
  13. Dangerous - The Who
  14. I thought their version of Whiplash was great!
  15. He should be up there with Entwistle, JPJ, Squire etc. as one of the great British bassists.
  16. Cannibal - Static-X
  17. Do The Freddie - Freddie And The Dreamers
  18. Frankenstein - Edgar Winter
  19. I know. It was just a light-hearted comment.
  20. One of the Roadstar variants?
