1. Reduced price to £300 from £350
2. Since picking up the bass about three years ago I now feel like I have finally found MY bass, its the Nate Mendel P Bass. I don't have that connection with my amplification, I have been through a few set-ups but have not been able to find the one for me. I am currently selling my amplification and looking to make a new purchase, I want something that can be used when playing live (loud) and home practice (aux-in, headphone-out). I love the sound of a valve, but don't like the weight. that why the Roost head is going. I love a stack, but the practicalities of multiple boxes makes me think a light-weight combo would be better. I would have liked the Red Sub version of the Promeathean 5110, but it is no longer for sale. I want to get the current items sold and then take the money to a decent music shop and try some things out, until that happens what would you recommend looking at?
3. Need these gone by the weekend, so in an effort to make this happen I am reducing to a firm price of £165 delivered.
4. Anyone else taken advantage of this deal, whats the preferred cab set-up? Can a 4x10 and 2x12 set-up really work?
5.
I had a Warwick Pro 410 and it was awesome. This is a total bargain, people.
Thanks, just passing the bargain on.
6. This is the Roost SR22 amp that I bought several months ago, it dates to the mid-70's and I believe it is 100w, it has a variable ohm selector and can with 4, 8 or 16 ohm cabs. It is in fine working order and got a clean bill of health after a service from a local amp technician, all he had to do was re-solder a capacitor and replace a couple of resistors. Since I have had it I have cleaned the cab and let it get some fresh air and sun, because when I first got the head it had a bit of a whiff about it. Nothing major, just a storage smell if that makes sense. Only selling it because it is too loud for home use and obviously has no headphone output, it was bought more out of curiosity than anything else Looking for £300 collected from Ipswich, no trades.
7. Selling my Warwick 410 pro cabinet, bought it secondhand , had it a few months now, bought it for a recently acquired Roost valve amp. The cabinet is 300w at 8ohms, it has a carpet style covering which has seen better days but the cabinet functions correctly. Only selling because I am looking to downsize, wanting to sell this and my miBass cabs and buy a complete new rig which will also be suitable for my valve amp. Price is [s]£70[/s] £60 collected from Ipswich or Stowmarket £20 uk postage. Apologies, although appearing the right way up on my computer, once uploaded the photo's change rotation.
8. Selling both my Ashdown Mibass Mi12 cabs, they have had use mainly at home and at a few rehearsals, both in very good condition. Having sold the MiBass head I was going to just keep these and run them with a different head, but now think I will shift these two and keep my options open. According to Ashdown the cab tips the scales at 16kg and is 54.5 cm high, 39 cm wide and 36.5 cm deep. It is 250w at 8ohms. [s]The price is £175 delivered for each cab.[/s] The price is now £165 delivered for each cab, as I would like these shifted by the weekend.
9. MiBass 550 head £260 delivered
10. Hello BB, Thanks for the interest, only looking to sell head with at least one cab.
11. £475 for mibass head and 1 cab or £650 for mibass head and 2 cabs
12. Thanks for the info re. tuning. Dawson's and Nevada have these in stock at the moment, just ordered a sunburst from dawsons.
13. What is the "correct "tuning for the VI? Is it baritone guitar E A D G B E or 6 string bass B E A D G C (or similar)
14.
Not helping much, am I?
It doesn't smell like stale smoke I recognise as more of a damp/musty smell, its like its been sat around in a garage for a while. There were some rust speckles on the screws and washers in the cabinet that might suggest a period of being left in a garage, they cleaned up ok with wd40.
15. Recently purchased a Roost Valve Amp, got it checked out everything was fine apart from a loose capacitor and a couple of resistors that needed replacing. I love the head, its great, but it has a smell to it! I guess it smells a bit fusty/damp, when I first got it I took the electrics out, cleaned the cabinet although it wasn't mouldy or damp and let the whole thing air, this improved the situation somewhat. The amp tech painted the tolex with a silicone solution which improved the situation again, but the smell is still there to some degree. I think the smell comes from the tolex, I am tempted to recover it, but not sure if (a) its something I can do myself or ( if it affects value of the head. Should I strip the tolex, clean the cab and then recover it or wait for the smell to disappear.
16. Mike bought my Geddy Lee bass, and was a great buyer. Good easy communications, prompt payment and quick to let me know bass arrived safely. Happy to deal with Mike again, credit to basschat 👍
17. Thanks for the offer, look for a cash sale at the moment.
18. Anybody insure basses sent in cardboard shipping boxes? I am sending a bass out that I have packed well, but without a hard case, my understanding is that you cannot get insured if not in a hard case?
19. Just looking for cash sale at the moment. Thanks
20.
Hey is this one of the Japanese ones?
yes, this is one of the original Japenese ones.
21. Any love for the BC410? I am intrigued, what would typically be the best option in this deal, I like the look of the two bc410 option for volume, any drawbacks other than size and weight.
22. No hard case for the bass. I always pack my items well, no issues so far. Thanks
