1. Tempted to go with the PF210HLF, but when I look at the ampeg website it only lists an HE. Is the HLF an old model or has it been made up, Andertons and other shops seem to have one listed?
 2.
The HE has a tweeter, the HLF doesn`t.
Thanks Lozz.
 3.
What type of music/bass are you playing? I reviewed the pf500 head and PF 115HE cab in a previous post if that gives you some idea.
Mixture of a few different styles, really, but bass would be Fender Geddy Lee or Aerodyne Precision. Read the review, very interesting.
 4. Thanks for the responses so far, l have been looking at the cabs on-line, there seems to be two types HE or HLF. I cannot immediately see what the difference is between them, any ideas?
 5. As per the title, interested in the ampeg pf500 head, interested to know your thoughts on the best pf cab to go with it, 210 or 115? Cheers
 6.
Just got one of these for practice use as I'm a bit sick of lugging a 6x10 and an Ampeg around, I must admit for the price this is a really good little amp. I will definitely will using it for some of the smaller venues that my band plays at. I've not really played with the toneprint much yet, so I can't tell you how good it is or isn't. I think TC Electronic have built a pretty solid sounding little combo, well worth a try if you don't want to spend a fortune.
Any further updates on your experience with it live?
 7.
I hope someone buys this as I am vaguely tempted to buy it back!! Bump for a great value, exceptionally lightweight bass in very good nick.
No need to be so vague Paul
 8.
Wasn't loud enough for me. Nearly, but not quite.
What sort of gigs were you using it at?
 9. Off topic I know but does anybody gig the LB30, has it got sufficient power?
 10.
I use "fret tester " which has four and five string bass modes. It's cheap and works well on the iPhone
+1
 11. This particular listing is for a bass that I purchased from Paul S toward the end of March this year, original thread here. Not long after purchasing this I got hold of a SB330 on eBay which has meant this bass is not being used as much as it should. This is a black active p/j pickup bass to which Paul added the Artec preamp, this has been very well looked after since I received, it has not even left the house. As mentioned on the original thread it is not clear which model this is as there is no model number sticker on the battery cover, but assume that it is a SB310. [s]I will also include the original Bass Collection preamp, which Paul passed onto me when I bought the bass from him. I am looking for £155 delivered which is what I paid Paul, thanks.[/s] I am now looking for £145 delivered and keeping the original Bass Collection preamp
 12. Dragon Attack - Queen. Cold Sweat - James Brown Nice

 14. Thanks for your advice, appreciate it.
 15.
Most (not all) of those type are stereo sockets and are used to switch on an active circuit when a mono jack is inserted.
It would appear to be the same issue that I had back with the Kala, a stereo jack that requires a mono cable.. Thanks
 16.
Why are you using a stereo cable?
No reason, first one I picked up. I had a similar issue with a kala bass a few months back. That didnt like the stereo lead either, but there was no ouput at all in that case. Think I probably need to throw the stereo lead away, save this problem in the future.
 17.
I reckon the jack socket is a normal mono & don't like stereo plugs does it look a normal Fender / Switchcraft type socket?
Not sure
 18. Hello, Just taken delivery of this bass I plugged it in to my amp using a stereo cable and got no output from pickups just lots of static noise, seems to work fine with a mono cable though. Is this normal, my geddy lee is not affected in the sane way. Thanks
 19. If it has not gone by the end of the week, I think I will withdraw this from sale, try and rekindle some gas ( ) from a bass I already own.
 20. I guess the next question is, is there a drum machine that makes it easy to import drum tracks? Thinking importing midi tracks rather than button by button? If the Sr16 did this I would buy one straight away
 21. Would it be possible to create your own toneprints, or can you only use the "official" ones?
 22.
I got rid of mine because I didn't gig it or use it outside of the house at the time. Then as soon as I'd got rid of it, I remembered how I used to keep it in the living room to just noodle about on it if I got 10 mins spare - it was loud enough unamplified to be used to practice. I thought about getting a cheapo acoustic bass, but then realised for not much more I could get another JC. Then my old bass came up for sale, and the rest as they say is history.... Great basses, and with the hard case, it's worth £450 all day long...
Cheers Tredders, you are doing a great job of making me keep the JC!
