1.
I think it's a good price. If I'd not just bought my old Jack Casady back (for the same money), I'd have had this. Nothing seems to be moving at the moment...
Cheers Tredders, things do seem a bit slow at the moment. As you have bought your old one back perhaps I should keep mine, what made you get hold of it again?
2. Is it going to go at this price or should I keep it bump?
3. Hello Lordy, My next question was going to be about ease of use and programming, thanks for the information. Welcome to the forum.
4. Hello, I have looked through the thread archive here and on the internet in general, but I have not been able to find an answer to this question I want to be able to use a drum machine live but maintain control over when patterns and fills are triggered, probably by a foot pedal. The quote below, borrowed from elsewhere online sums up my requirements.
WHAT I WANT: I'd like SIMPLE PC based software where I can select a style, tempo, etc and have the song progress as programmed. BUT... I want to use the keyboard/pedal/whatever to select/switch the various loops or fills in performance (keeping in time though). Imagine a LONG solo in the Doors' "Light My Fire" where the rest of the band is wondering and waiting for the famous one-snare-beat drum fill that kicks off the intro again - I want to trigger that kick. Midi is even fine since I have a great sound module. I've briefly looked at a bunch of apps, but they seem either too big (create a multimedia presentation) or too small (just play the same loop over and over).
Getting a real live drummer in is not possible at the moment, that may come later, but at the moment really looking to implement something close to what is mentioned above, hardware or software, all considered.
5. Hello, is anybody there?
6. Right here I think its a secondhand agb140, seems a bit steep to me?
7. Bob purchased my Kala S-U-B bass, very easy to deal with, money was transferred straight away and he PM'd me as soon as the bass arrived to confirm its safe passage. Pleasure to deal with. Cheers
8.
How did you get this before it's even in the country? I love it
eBay makes this sort of operation far too easy.
9. Cost £370 new to import, can sell this for £270 delivered
10. Bump - bass weighs in at 8 1/4 Lbs on the bathroom scales
11. I purchased this bass in December 2011 and I have used it on and off in the house since then, so it is in excellent condition. This is the Gloss red version with poplar body and bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fretboard. It has a Shadow active pick-up system with volume and 2-band EQ control. It still has the original strings on it which are now starting to settle down. This bass will only work with mono cables, I didn't realise this and started a thread a while ago asking why I couldn't hear anything from the bass . However Basschat came to the rescue and the more knowledgeable members of the community pointed out the error of my ways. It comes with a quality Kala gig bag and suitable strap, bass straps are just too long. I am only looking to sell this because I got a hefty bill from the garage and need to to put the proceeds toward covering the hole in my finances. The price includes fully insured delivery.
12. Still here, it was available on an ebay auction which ended Sunday night, but the winning bidder was from Manchester and bid on it by accident .
13. I purchased Pauls SGC Nanyo SB310, he is very easy to deal with and the whole transaction was turned around very quickly. Pleasure doing business with you.
14. Also interested in a trade for some vintage SGC Nanyo bass goodness if that helps.
15. How about this It needs a setup, if I send this via courier I am sure they will make sure that it needs repairing too.
16. Morning all, Selling the double bass that I purchased recently, this is mainly due to space, I am enjoying getting to grips with the DB but I would like to sell this and get an EUB. I purchased the lot for £225 delivered, but there was damage to a strap on the hardcase for which I managed to negotiate a discount. I have listed it on eBay at £220, but would be looking for £150 collected from any BC'er thats interested. Also interested in a trade for something SGC Nanyo Bass Collection related. The eBay listing is here
17. Dan bought my Ashdown LB112 cab, paid promptly very easy to deal with, cheers.
18. <Idiot Update> Looks like the bass issue has been resolved, Taurezo's post in a thread I had started in the Repairs forum ( on which I had added photos of the ubass innards) said that I should be using a mono cable, what do you know, I was using a stereo cable. On swapping to a mono cable I can now hear the bass! <Idiot Update ends for now, sure there will be more> I can only assume that in the past I was using random stereo and mono cables on the bass to give the intermittent fault. Thanks again for the offer of help Paul, PM on the way. So now that I know the seller is not in the wrong I think now is the right time for extradition to the UK! I am now about to msg the seller and let them know whats going on and give them a laugh as well.
19. Thank you very much for that response the key point in your response for me was this:
Make sure you're using a mono lead.
It turns out that since picking up the bass again this week I was using a stereo cable, on swapping it out for a mono cable the bass is now fully functioning and audible. I will keep an eye on it and see what happens, although if I have been using stereo and mono cables without realising in the past this should explain the intermittent failure of the sound. Thank you
20.
Did you have to pay import duty and VAT on arrival of this bass?
I certainly did. I knew it was coming but still a surprise to be asked for £70 on the doorstep before they would hand the bass over.
21. My problem is the distance, I would probably have sent it back when the problem first appeared if i had bought it in this country, but postage charges didnt make that practical. So I will be taking Paul up on his offer (thanks, Paul) and hoping that the problem is something that can be fixed, if it cannot then I will have to start a Paypal dispute and see what happens.
