Last price drop to a firm £600... otherwise i think i will keep it! Any interest?? feel free to make suggestions although no trades on basses (although could be interested in a Schroeder 1212L cab if anyone has one!) Last price drop before i withdraw it from sale... dont wanna let it go for pittance!! I have decided to sell on my beloved Musicman Stingray 5 string... i bought this in 1997 (ish... - cant be sure) and have had it since new. It is a typical SR5... funky, growly, and an excellent player - i kinda semi-retired this a few years ago after i got into Overwater stuff, and it sat in my studio just being used for recording... although every time i played it, it reminded me what a great bass it is - the overwater seemed to suit what i do now which is much more function orientated. I gigged the bass regularly over the years and it never let me down, after a recent trade show visit i fell in love with a warwick and cannot afford to keep everything so the Stingray has to go im afraid... a sad but necessary act. Condition - i always look after my gear and keep it in good working order - the bass was serviced regularly as i need my instruments to work... although many years of gigging have given it a road worn look. Saying that, there are no major dings on the paintwork or headstock, and the neck and frets are in good condition... the main issue with the neck is that years of gigs have discoloured the maple - very much that 'worn relic look' that custom shop fenders have... as stingray maple necks are merely waxed, not laquered, this happens a lot to these if they are gigged a lot. A friend of mine has a similar look on his which he has had for several years. Hopefully, the pics will show this. Since the bass has been retired to the studio i must admit that i have not been as efficient with the servicing and upkeep, and the pots became a bit noisy so recently i had all the pots replaced and a new jack socket put in by my local music shop. Again, years of gigs have rusted the pole pieces on the pickup, so i dabbed on some silver paint to cover this up (was told this wouldnt affect the tone and it didnt seem to..) Not ideal i know, but i wanted it to look better! I was all set to spend a bit of cash and replace the pick up and possibly the electronics with possibly a Norstrand and John East pre as these seem to be very popular until the warwick came into my life... and as it is, i would rather sell it in for someone else to make that decision... obviously you can replace these with stock MM parts if you like! I should make clear that everything does work as it should, the pick up and preamp works as it should and the issues i have listed are purely cosmetic. There is one issue with the series / parallel switch (the volume drops in one position, although my tech said it would probably be just a dry joint...) As i say, other than this, everyworks as it should and i took it out on a couple of gigs recently and still love the feel and sound of the stingray... i just wich i could afford to keep it! Anyway... i have tried to capture the condition as best through the photos, although they dont do the bass justice... its a great looking bass - a sparkly dark purple with the maple neck looks great... and i will throw a hiscox lite flite case with the bass. Not in the best condition but works fine - got it when i got the bass! See the top for current price... dropped from £750 initial price to a firm £600... collection preferred in the Great Yarmouth area... although can ship for £25 with enough insurance for the bass. Feel free to come and try if you like, will put on a new set of strings for the buyer.

Sansamp PSA 1 guitar and bass modelling preamp in vgc (minimal rack rash as i dont do the nuts up tight!) mostly used for guitar but has some killer bass presets also - very much a boutique kinda rack mount modeller - no effects (reverb etc) are included but thats TECH 21 for ya - they do what they do best... got some luvverly tones - only selling as am now using my UA preamp and using modelling in the box... but i think this would be a great front end for an amp... although i have only used it in the studio. My only gripe is it doesnt have an on/off switch on it... but i rigged a switch inline on an extension and that worked fine. Have the manual in good nick and the PSU is built in. Lookin for a firm £125 for this... they run about £250 new, but please bear in mind that this is the older model - the newer PSA 1.1 has a couple of extra features - be worth looking at for reference... website info: http://www.tech21nyc.com/archive/psa1.html also - my one is a light red colour - not the silver in the web pic... Postage will be £10 via royal mail parcels... am also selling my Alesis MIDIverb 4 which i used in the effects loop of the sansamp for a bit of reverb etc if you are interested - will post this seperately also...

For sale is my Ashdown ABM MINI 15 bass cab for £150 (UPDATE - PRICE DROP TO £130!!)... bought as a stopgap until i found what i was after cab wise, and it has proved to be a very versatile little cab - small, lightweight (around 20kg - can be lifted with one hand..) and powerful - handles a 5 string no problem. In good condition - a few marks and scrapes on the leather covering but no rips or tears and in perfect working order - that typical ashdown sound. For reference, it doesnt have a tweeter so i find it lacks a bit of top end, but it is a great sounding cab. Not interested in trades as i have already purchased something else and i can deliver via courier for £15... Heres a link for the specs from the ashdown site... http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.as...egacy&ID=56 Mine is different to the one in the photo on the website - different badge, handles etc as you can see from the photos, not sure if this is an earlier model or anything, but is definately the ABM range and not the MAG range... any questions... get in touch!

Hi Alan... thanks for your enquiry! My main current gig is with a function band, ranging from a 5 to 9 piece with guitar and 3 brass... our drummer can be loud when he wants to be and to date i have not had any problems with getting the volume i need... We do DI and i wedge the combo back to use as foldback, but i often hear in smaller venues that the sound guy has taken the bass out of the PA because these combos carry... they seem to be able to fill venues easily! Inregards to adding another cab... i havent done so as the combo met my needs, but from what people have said, adding one really creates the rig of doom! I play 5 string and havent had any issues with getting enough bottom end, even with the 2 x 10's... and i rarely see the master past 9 or 10 o clock - loads of power there... I do really like this combo, and im happy to stay with it, its just i had an EBS rig for 3 years and LOVED the sound... but couldnt cope with 2 cabs and a head - this is a great solution, but as i tend to want that funkier middy kind of sound which EBS is superb for, the MarkBass loses on this front - but for soul / rock and more vintage sounds - the Mark Bass kicks ass! This is merely my opinion and dont wanna turn this thread into an EBS / MarkBass discussion!! Anyway... hope this helps. Im confident whoever it goes to, it will make a happy buyer.
Hi, I could be interested in this, as an ageing player I am looking to move to a lighter weight option! I currently play in a covers band with a guitarist and (loud) drummer. Most of our gigs our in pubs though and my current set up is an Ashdown 180 EB driving two x 15 inch cabs. What sort of band are you in, do you find the Markbass combo is loud and punchy enough? Alan.
Price drop from £700 to £600!!! Willing to listen to offers on this - looking for around the low £600 range but will look at any offers within reason!! Hi everyone... im putting out the feelers in that im interested in selling my MarkBass CMD 102P Bass combo... Excellent little package, loud enough, lightweight, wedge-able (kickback style) and looks great with the orange and black styling... This is the version 1 model and i paid £850 from my local music shop about 2 months ago... to be honest, i had an EBS rig before this and i downsized to a small combo - so i purchased this blind on a recommendation. I wasnt dissapointed in anyway, punchy, loud, and you can get that great rock sound using the filters... its just that i prefer the cleaner funkier sound of EBS... i dont want to make too big a loss on this - i can carry on using this and will be perfectly happy, but if the right deal comes along then im interested. Am looking for around the low £600 range for this beauty... as i say, its pretty much as new - still have the inspection label attached! Will look at trades... only interested in small, lightweight powerful combos similar to the markbass... EBS, GenzBenz etc etc... Get in contact - look forward to hearing from you! i have attached a stock photo - mine aint no different, as new etc, and you can find more info here: http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/cmd-102p/11978 and check out GAK's price!!
