I'll get some pics of the innards up tonight. Body is dated, pots, etc. Neck has no pencil mark- Fender didnt date any necks in the first part of 59 apparently. Neck is solid. Old and apparently common issue. Had it all set up and checked recently by Martyn Booth.

This bass has been within the BC community for quite some time. I bought it for £4000 and am looking for what I paid (an extra £100 if you want the Hiscox case to go with the OHSC). Gorgeous bass, fully set-up (with flats) and original bar the quality refin. Selling as I'm not playing it and I'd rather put the money into an acoustic guitar. 2 Monster Bass Cables- 21ft. One with two straight jacks. One with one straight/one 90 degree. The 90 degree jack has a crack and I think will need changing. Beautiful top end acoustic. Retails at £3500. Sold second hand in shops for around £3000. Looking for £2500 or trade for one or two basses or bass plus amp. Will get pics up later but it's mint and as stock photos on the site. 12 fret neck join and slotted headstock. More specs to follow but, again, as stock as seen on the Collings site. Comes with OHSC.
