Italia IIRC are a JHS Brand in conjunction with Trev Wilkinson. All the designs are very "Retro", I'd say more of a nod to the oddities that came out of Italy during the 50's & 60's, but obviously (hence some of the "odd" finishes & fittings), with modern (Wilkinson) parts & manufacturing. I always fancied getting a Rimini bass, inspired by the Ric 4005 semi.

From what I've seen, even the older Roland kits are out of my reach, so I think I'm just going to have to keep an eye out for a reasonably priced mesh head kit with a decent brain.
