But unfortunately, that's the state we find ourselves in. -
It's a real shame to hear the news about Justin, Parkinsons is a horrible disease.

Shirty Something We had some printed up by Shirty Something, great people to deal with. We had a simple logo screen printed on M to XL shirts, which worked out at around £6 per shirt IIRC. One thing about the above design, is that it may be a bit too complex for a traditional screen print, but there is a "direct to garment" option, which is a bit more expensive. Make sure that you're asking for screen printing, as a lot of places will offer vinyl printing, which is a lot less forgiving, less flexible and will crack. -
I went to see Geddy on the book tour in Glasgow, it was really good, but watching him & Lerxst chatting puts a whole different aspect on things. A very cool watch.

As much as I would love to have multiple instruments at my disposal, the reality is that I can't really afford or justify it (or have the space TBH). I do have a couple of basses and a couple of guitars, but that's it. And yes, I do mainly play my preferred bass (the black 'plate 4003 in the avatar) over the other one, but hey, it's a fantastic bass. Still have GAS, and if I had the spare money, I would have a big collection.

This does not help my GAS for an 8 string...

Looks very interesting.

Assume that it's the powered one. Very interesting headstock on that bass.

If the HX Stomp is too much, but you like the thought of the "all-in-one" box, that you can use for guitar as well... Have you considered the POD Go? The models on it are all from the Helix, amps, cabs & effects, you can use IR's, you can use snapshots, but there are obviously some differences. No parallel processing, limited no. of effects to each patch. However, it's still a really flexible unit that sounds great.

Ear Protection - What's really decent & off the shelf?
Skybone replied to Al Krow's topic in Accessories and Misc
I found that the Alpines were too short, they only had two tiers instead of three like the Auritech & the Etymotic's. Sometimes, the seal would break with movement whilst playing, which isn't what you want from a set of earplugs. The only thing I dislike about the Auritech's is that the stem is soft, and they can be a pain to put in. Moistening the tip of the plug before putting it in helps. Yes, the custom ACS are quite a few steps up from the Auritech & the old Etymotic's. I originally went for the 20dB filters, but they were a bit too much. Bought a set of the 17dB filters, so I'll see how they go next rehearsal. The fit is fabulous, as they're moulded to your ears. Really comfortable to wear too. Really wish I'd gone for them sooner. -

Was a long time fan of Elacin/Etymotic ER20S earplugs, but you can't seem to get them anymore. Tried the Alpine's but hated tham. Bought some Auritech Music plugs, and they were great. Recently bought some ACS Custom plugs, really pleased with them. -

You'll have to be VERY careful with your costume choices if you go for the latter.

Have you looked at a lined fretless? The frets are marked (lined), but obviously, fretless. There was an inexpensive 6 string bass in the "Basses For Sale" section not too long ago, might be worth a search. Fender Bass 6?

Do lots of running around, acrobatics and/or dance routines? You will benefit from using headset microphones. If the answer is no to any of the above questions, then it may be better to stick to an SM58 on a stand.
