  1. Sounds like an impromptu Scotland Bass Bash.
  2. My thoughts exactly (exact-lee?).
  3. It isn't. However, it is a "version" of one, including the black TRC.
  4. No. Covers bands hopefully play music people want to hear, and venues will pay for them to perform in order to bring punters through the doors of their venues. Never been a fan of playing covers personally, and it looks like I'm not alone in that respect. However, if you do play covers, be prepared for the "you didn't play it like the original/my personal favourite version".
  5. Just had a look at the Glasgow date, and it says that you get a copy of the book with the ticket price.
  6. Obviously have copies of the recorded music, though there are a couple of missing items (early band demo's & gig tapes), got a few magazines with interviews & promotion stuff and pics.
  7. Yup, me too. Though I am GAS-ing a little for an 8 string (octave course, of course).
  8. Hong Kong Garden - Siouxsie and the Banshees
  9. Not enough. We made the singer responsible for it, and he's a bit too enthusiastic...
  10. And there was me thinking I was free of GAS and responding to this thread... Lo and behold, I have a new obsession with 8 string (octave course) basses... And the D-Roc... And...
  11. Like everyone else has said, give Ashdown a call, and they'll sort something out.
  12. I'm happy with the gear I have, but it doesn't stop me from looking.
  13. And is exactly this quandary that lead me to start the post in the first place. 99% of the places we play, the on-stage monitoring is either pitiful or non-existent, we don't own our own PA and so the "in-ear" option is out of the window (due to hearing issues, I'd rather wear earplugs than in-ears anyway). Though I think we all agree, that most manufacturer's of Bass amps/cabs will not be producing powered cabs in any great volume any time soon.
  14. Was listening to a lot of mainstream stuff, and only just starting to dip my proverbial toe into the heavier stuff. Rush, Black Sabbath, Dio, Hawkwind, Marillion, The Cult/Death Cult/Southern Death Cult, Toyah, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Status Quo, The Damned, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Saxon, Tygers oPT, etc, etc. Was only just starting to hear about bands like Metallica, Slayer & Anthrax, Discharge, Crass & Subhumans.
