  5. Definitely try some different Stainless Steel rounds, Warwick Red Steels are a great, low cost option, and they do last. Used them for a while. At the moment, I'm using D'Addario Pro Steels on the Ric, as they just sound so much better than anything else I've tried on it. Dunlop Steels are good, Elites Stadium Steels are good. All depends on your budget. Try a few different sets and find some you like.

  14. Thanks to platforms like Spotify, it's almost made music a commodity, everyone seems to take it for granted, and very few people appear to be unwilling to put their hands in their pockets to support the bands and artists, buying band merch direct. It's great for large, known bands who get thousands of hits, but smaller bands and artists, getting hits is dependent on your promotion.

  23. Having flitted back and forth between inexpensive/expensive/inexpensive/expensive instruments for many years, I can honestly say that I'm enjoying playing my Ric more than I ever did playing anything else. Though saying that, I'm in total agreement that there is absolutely nothing wrong with inexpensive instruments these days, and many are happy to gig with them.
  24. Borrowed one to record an album back in the 90's, great sounding amps & cabs.
