  1. Cadaveric Incubator of Endoparasites - Carcass
  2. ACS Custom Pro 17's. Definitely worth the money. I put off getting some for years, but finally got some a couple of years ago. Well worth it.
  3. Police and Thieves - Junior Murvin
  4. The man is an artist. Lovely looking bass, enjoy.
  5. My second bass was the Black/Red Raider, in about 1986, though I really wanted a Thunder II or III. Managed to get a Thunder 1A in the early 90's, and it really was a brilliant bass. Wish I'd never sold that one. After the Raider, I bought my first Aria, the bolt neck SB Special II.
  6. Pre-order at Gear4Music: £59.00 Expected in August though.
  7. Totally
  8. My lad is desperate to go, so we'll have to see how much the tickets are. Thankfully, I did get to see the original line up play the NEC in 1997, was there the night they recorded the "Reunion" live album.
  9. Give Ashdown a call.
  10. Bizarrely, I'm more concerned about the prices of strings. We've seen the decent brand prices rise quite a bit over the last few years, expect it'll keep on going. Maybe it's time to get some flatwounds.
  11. Been seeing loads of singer/songwriters (as well as some bands) coming through locally, and they appear to have quite a following, but to me, the songs come across as really formulaic, where they've put some chords under some poetic, meaningful words. Just don't get it.
  12. Just start playing about in HX Edit. If it's anywhere as easy as the POD Go Edit, then it shouldn't take too long before you've got some nice patches up & running. Though I must say that you piqued my interest when you were talking about using the Ric-O-Sound a while back, I was wondering whether the HX FX would do what you were thinking about, so I started a thread: Line6 HX FX Queries Still contemplating between an HX FX or an HX Stomp XL, though the POD Go does everything I need it to and more than I will ever use.
  13. Maybe you should forward it to the folks at CrackedAnkles Records (home of Evil Blizzard). It sounds right up their street to me.
  14. Fingers crossed!
  15. Murder On The Dancefloor - Sophie Ellis Bextor
  16. NFC enabled IIRC
  17. If only I'd had decent cash in those days, and the knowledge of what to buy. I did nearly buy a chequer bound 4001 in the late 80's, but it was what we would call "play worn" these days (or knackered as I called it then). The shop were asking a lot for it too. Had a couple of nice, entry level Matsumoku basses at the time. Wish I could have afforded better models.
  18. Did the last lot of merch as cash and PayPal. A lot of people recommended Sum Up for card payments. The readers aren't too expensive.
  19. I run the POD Go into the Return on the FX loop of my amp, bypassing the preamp. Works for me.
  20. For the record, I use a Line6 POD Go, meets all the things I want it for. But for effects, something like the HX FX or the Zoom B2 Four / B6 would be ideal.
  21. Wouldn't one of the Retro StingRay's be better...? And loads of chorus of course.
  22. Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve
  23. Fabulous looking bass, shame you don't get on with it, as they really are ace (not that I'm biased). GLWTS.
  24. Of course, everything depends on your budget, the BDI21 will get you in the ball park, the SansAmp will defintely give you options. You could also maybe look at the Tech21 Bass Fly Rig, the v2.0 has both the BDDI and the VT Bass circuits, as well as a compressor, chorus, filter and a tuner. There was one for sale in the Effects section not too long ago. If you want to go digital, there's the HX FX, which includes models of the BDDI, Darkglass, Pearce & Noble pre's, as well as a whole load of other effects. You could look at picking up a Zoom B2 Four / B6 or and older B3n/B3. The Boss ME or GT processors have loyal fans.
