  4. I thought the second video showed off the amp a bit better.
  5. For £300, you should be able to pick up something like a Squier bass and a reasonable amp second hand, though with the amp, it's probably better to stick with a "name" brand, as the quality should be decent. Even most shops should have a good selection of "starter" basses & amps.
  6. Only just seen this, sounded like a brilliant idea.
  7. RIP Ozzy. Legend. Certainly went out on a high.
  8. Asking for a friend? @AndyTravis, we've all been there. You'll bounce back after a while away. Good luck.
  9. @police squad, I do like the sound you're getting with both pickups.

  14. There is something weird going on when you have both volumes on full, I've always found it better to back the neck pickup volume back to about 75%. Definitely both tone knobs wide open though. Then amp / pre-amp EQ to suit (plenty of mid though). I see @Jasper has his mid set around 75% (ish), treble a similar amount & bass around 60%. Sounding quite nice. 👍
  15. Black Sheep of the Family - Rainbow
  16. Must resist... A fabulous looking bass, and a fabulously tempting price. GLWTS.

  22. They look a bit like the wavy Grover's they used on 4001's. Could it be an old 4001?
  23. Definitely better than The Wheel.
