Current No.1. Had a 4003 a number of years back, but had to sell it. Tried a few different basses to replace it, but nothing came near til I got a Rockinbetter. Lovely bass, but not a 4003. This came up on FB Marketplace at a reasonable price and not too far away, almost missed it, but that deal fell through and it was offered to me. Happy bunny.

It all boils down to what you want to use it for and how much you want to spend. If it's just for effects, then the B3n or the HX FX would be a good choice. If you're wanting to use the amp/cab modelling, then the B3n would be good again, but then there's the Line6 HX Stomp/Stomp XL or the POD Go.

I recently went from Dunlop DBS Steel's to the D'Addario Pro Steel's. Haven't noticed any difference in tension.

There was the Shark series of basses that had wooden necks. Not sure when they were made, but they were a "budget" bass from Status.

Just looked up the PSA, and it would appear to be a standard 9v / 500mA. So any multi pedal PSU should do.

Always found it odd, with the BM "Signature" bass, that it came with Gibson EB style pickups rather than the 3 Burns style bass pickups, as used on the BM Signature guitar. It's not like Burns hadn't been making them, they were used on the Bison & Marquee basses.

Totally agree with this. Tried many different strings, but found that using nickel coated strings really made my fingertips very sensitive, and noticed that they developed loads of white/dead skin on the tips. Changed back to using stainless steel rounds, the sensitivity stopped and my fingertips went back to normal. If you use flats, maybe look at stainless or tape wound strings.

If it's between the Zoom B1 Four or the Stomplab, get the Zoom. The B1Four is far newer than the Vox, so would be a far better sounding piece of gear.
