I still use my amp, but I route the POD Go through the Effects Return, rather than into the Pre-amp. Doesn't colour the sound quite as much as going through the Pre-amp.

Yes, really pleased with the Celestion IR's. Bought the Pulse 4x10 & 2x10 pack, and you get quite a few different choices in that lot. Just a case of working through them all, and finding the one(s) that work best for you.

The band have been in doing some recording, and I have to say that the bass sounds ace (IMO of course). Really sits in the mix well. 👍🤘

I know where you're coming from @leroydiamond, and totally agree that you just can't beat listening to a whole album. Skipping tracks meant having loads of skill lifting the needle off the record at just the right moment, and more crucially, having the steady hand and skill to put it back at just the right place. Fast Forwarding tapes was a whole other black art! Like I said, I like Moving Pictures, it's just that for me, Permanent Waves worked better as an album. There's no dispute that Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, Limelight and YYZ are amazing songs, but I always thought that the other songs weren't as strong. Again, just my opinion.

As a big Rush fan, I always thought that, although Moving Pictures has some great songs, it's also got a few that aren't that great. Always thought that Permanent Waves was a far better album, even though it was very underrated. But what do I know?

Downloaded both the 4x10 & 2x10 IR's, the 4x10's are full bodied, where the 2x10's are a bit punchier. Really liking the 4x10 sounds, really need to experiment, but added a couple of the cab models to some presets, and used them in rehearsal last night. Sounded great, really cut through.

The Alarm didn't have a bass player, because he was on tour with The Mission.
