  1. Watching the Grass Grow - Hawkwind
  2. Passive. I owned & used active eq basses for a good few years, and had some very nice basses (a few dogs too), for example an SB1000, a couple of StingRay's, a Thunder 1A, an L2000 Tribute, etc. I was getting into recording, but no matter what I was trying, I just couldn't get a sound that I liked. Tried a passive bass, and there it was. Works for me. I get that some people love active basses, and there are some beautiful basses out there that I'd love to try, but it's passive only for me just now.
  3. Both of my Ric's came with cases with this damage, but for some reason, the insides of both cases reeked. Both bases have been rehomed.
  4. Was watching some day time TV during my lunch break the other week, and "Deeper Underground" came on, that bass line...
  5. Looks like he's thoroughly enjoying it too. Lots of "proud Dad" moments to come! My lad is on a music course at college and loving it. He's a drummer, but is learning to play bass, guitar, and doing a bit of singing too. In a couple of bands, and played a few gigs too.
  6. RIP to a nice bloke. Condolences to his family & friends.

  17. Nothing wrong with fart jokes.
  18. You would think, that with all the technology in the Helix / HX pedals, that Line6 would be able to provide an accurate tuner. Always carry a TC Electronic UniTune Clip in my POD Go's bag.
  19. I have an Ashdown 2x10 combo, that more than holds it's own with a loud rock band, it could in fact go even louder. 200w @ 8Ohms (internal speakers), 300w @ 4Ohms (with a cab). Never tried it with a cab, it's loud enough for my needs. Not the lightest though, at about 25kg, but it was reasonably priced when I bought it. Like most combo's with only a top handle, it's awkward to carry. There's a lot to be said of the newer, lighter combo's, plenty of them are coming in below 20kg. Would I buy another combo? Absolutely.
  20. The World is Not Enough - Garbage
  21. The bass sale that turned a massive corner, then went round the block a few times for good measure.
  22. Mama Said Knock You Out - LL Cool J
  23. You're just stockpiling them.
