  1. IIRC, G&L's have a grub screw on the side of the bridge in order to stop the saddles rattling. Maybe tighten the grub screw, as it sounds like a 'loose' saddle.
  2. Some shops will offer 'commission sales', where they will add on a percentage, but you have entrust your instrument to them to look after. Unless it's a trusted specialist, not sure that it's viable these days. As has been said, part-ex prices are often insulting, in order for the shop to make it worth their while. Not viable. Private sales, either here, the Bay of E, Gumtree, Reverb, or some other site would be the way to go, but needs a lot of trust, and careful packaging if you're going to post. Thankfully, the marketplace on BC is great.
  3. Think it would be best to stick to era's rather than genres, as thankfully, there's a lot of variation in the era's. 60's: Guitar pop, blues r&b, motown, psychedelia, ska / reggae etc. 70's: Funk, Prog, R&B, Punk, Post Punk, NWOBHM, Disco, Two Tone Ska, Reggae, etc. 80's: New Wave / New Romantics, Synth Pop, Rock, Metal, etc. 90's: Indie/Brit Pop/Shoe Gaze, Madchester stylee dance, Rock, Metal, etc.
  4. You could simply fill the show with James Jamerson & Carole Kaye and not scratch the surface. Add in a sprinkle of Paul McCartney & John Entwistle before you even get out of the 60's. Of course, everyone has an opinion, and those opinions may vary.
  5. Denial - Sugbabes
  6. One thing that's not been mentioned yet, is that if you're looking to use a distortion/fuzz/overdrive on your bass, then you need to find one that is specifically for bass use, in other words, it has a "Blend"/"Mix" function on it, Distortion etc. robs the bass of the low end, and so although it'll sound great on it's own, it'll get lost in a band situation. Which is where the "Blend"/"Mix" comes in. You need to keep a certain amount of the clean signal coming through in order to keep the low end. Start at 50% mix, & work from there. Bearing that in mind, the BDI21 is the one to go for.

  15. Out of fairness, I would try to contact the buyer for 7 days after the sale, on day 8, you report them, and relist the item. From day 4, say that if you don't hear back from them after day 7, you will relist. Generally, I would make the assumption that they have absolutely no intention of purchasing the item if they haven't paid up either straight away, or at worst a couple of days.
