  1. That's true, he auditioned for them after Cliff died, on request from his old school pal... Kirk Hammet He was in a band called Blind Illusion before forming Primus with the guitarist from Possessed (Larry LaLonde). Loved Trujillo's spaghetti western style bad lip syncing.

  18. I got one of those Thomann ABS cases for my 4003 for Christmas. It's a decent case, and great VFM, though definitely not quite in the same league as some of the other cases being discussed here. Considered getting a Hiscox, but wasn't sure whether a 4003 would fit. The original Ric case the 4003 came in was the standard Ric ABS case, but had numerous holes in the corners, a missing metal foot, with one of the others having cracks around it. Absolutely stank inside too. Tried dousing the inside with Febreze, but after about a week, the smell came back. My other basses are in the plywood & vinyl Thomann "classic" cases. Again, sturdy & well built, but not quite up to the standard of the more expensive cases.

  22. This. Assuming that you've plugged it in and it sounds fine, it's not an issue.
  23. Multi-FX have moved on a fair bit since the days of the BP-8 and other boxes. If you have a limited budget, then definitely look at the Zoom B1 Four. The MS-60B is a bit old these days, where the B1 Four is relatively new, and benefits from the tech in units like the B3n etc. Plus you get two footswitches instead of one, and the ability to use the PC Editor.
