1. The reason why you can't upload pics through a browser (mobile version or not) is that Apple in their infinite wisdom have denied access to the filesystem to their own web browser. You can upload pics if you jailbreak. Or you can use http://picupapp.com/ which works best if it's incorporated into the site as well as on the iPhone, but can be used standalone. The app uploads the pic to an image hosting server and returns a url.
2. Yeah. Crown, Peavey, QSC are the big boys. There are some other little gems about too like C-Audio and Chevin.
3. Yep, it's just practice rather than a trick. What i do is really make sure I've committed the bass part to muscle memory. Then I really practice the vocal over and over. Then I practice them together until I can do it over an over. Then I work that into that part when practicing the whole song or it's context. Eventually you'll never play that bass part again without singing along. It general, the process gets quicker and easier, some parts just require more practice, others come relatively instantly. It's a rub the tummy, pat the head thing, once a part clicks, you can do it on demand, until it clicks it can feel unnatural.
4. One banana, two banana, three banana, four, All escaped from the Second World War, One with a Tommy Gun, one with a stick, And one with a hand-grenade tied to his... Tra laa laaa. Can't hear that tune without that going through my head.
5. All depends on how far we're travelling, how I'm getting there, what the PA situation is and how much we're being paid. Reliable kit that you know well, look after and is well serviced usually doesn't break down. I'm more likely to take a spare bass than a spare amp. Strings are the weakest link for me.
6. Can we have a basschat day trip / guided tour when it's finished?
7.
No, can't stand blocks. I do love the '65-'66 dot and bound Jazzes withe the lollipop tuners, though!
I don't mind blocks, but I'm with you on the dots and bound.

9. Aye, very neutral. The plus side of that obviously is that you can put different things in and get different things out. So rather than relying on the cab to sound right, you can get amps and pre-amps and twiddle them there knobs.
10. You'da thunk if he was still in the park he'd have been found on Saturday or Sunday or in the clear up. He could be anywhere though if he got on a coach.
11. I like Ampeg cabs too. Especially with Ampeg heads. They do have that low mid hump though don't they? Don't TC cabs do that? That low mid hump is great if that's what your amp does.
12. http://www.facebook.com/thestoneroses The Stone Roses are asking everyone who attended their show at Heaton Park on Friday June 29 to help in the search for Christopher Brahney, 22, who has gone missing after attending the show. Please look at his photo and try to think - did you see him at the concert or afterwards? Do you know if he used the park and ride facility? Did you see him talking to anyone? The group urge everyone to help in the search for Christopher who was last seen by friends at about 11.30pm on Friday 29 June 2012, when he was at the Stone Roses concert in Heaton Park, Manchester. Christopher is white of slim build, with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark blue top, light blue shirt, maroon trousers and green wellington boots. It is now understood that Christopher may have used the Park and Ride facility at Bowlee Park, Heywood Old Road, towards Middleton. Christopher may have been seen getting off a bus at the Park and Ride shortly before midnight on Friday 29 June 2012. Detective Chief Inspector Melani Linton, said: “Christopher’s family are clearly very worried about him and are desperate for any information relating to his whereabouts. “We believe Chris may have used the park and ride facility at Bowlee Park, Heywood Old Road, Middleton. There were dozens of coaches in the car park with destinations all over the country. “Chris could have got on one of these coaches, did you see him or speak to him? “I would urge anyone with any information to contact the police, this could be vital to our investigation and provide some much needed answers for his family. “Christopher, if you see or hear this appeal, we would ask that you make contact with us or your family as soon as possible.” The Stone Roses said: "If you saw Christopher at the end of the evening please get in touch with Greater Manchester Police and spread the word to everyone who came to the show. Our thoughts are with Christopher's family and we all want to see him back at home safe and sound." Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 7652.
13. Out of interest Charic (and not to wander too far off topic), which cabs do you like? Also - I'm not quite sure about a 2x12 not being able to do what a 6x10 or 4x10 does. Cabs all have their pros and cons and work better or worse depending on what you put into em.
14. Old School Coronation Street http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvNwpy_U_KU&feature=related
15.
I think the Berg NV's are tweeterless and very much not full range. Very much "old school" tones.
Ah, well there you go. Not sure that would have any bearing on SVT voicing though, they're flat in the range they do aren't they? I wasn't mad on an SVT-IIP Schroeder 1212L combination, humps in different places I reckon. Played havoc with room acoustics and tone control.
16. My rig - 600W at 8Ω is stupidly loud with my BF Big One. I've no idea how loud it gets, I've never been there. I do know it goes louder than uncomfortably ****ing loud as that's where I've taken it before backing off. And that's with mids and highs rolled off. It scares me a bit... Makes the head (prob about 13kg all in all) jump around on top quite easily. Has to be turned right down to play with an unmic'd drumkit. Now my old rig, 600W @ 4Ω into a Schroeder 1212L was nowhere near as mind-boggling loud. Probably as I used to EQ too many mids out and that's where the 1212L lives. Ampeg stuff has that pronounced low-mid hump, so cabs will stand more of a chance of sounding good if that's what they're good at. Best thing about the Big One as far as I'm concerned is that it's full range, so this becomes less of a consideration. The Super 12 is similar isn't it? I think the Bergs are too?
17. Chambo only really does all valve. His mate John Wood only lives around the corner from me and does SS, valve, transformer rewinds, the lot.
18. I know a top man in Nottingham. Not Leicester though.
19.
I've got two of their Bantams - they sound great....
I want a Bantam USB. They've been outta stock for months and months.
20.
Try this lot:- http://www.templeaudio.net/
I've been trying to get hold of them for ages to ask them about their Bantams, but they never answer my emails or my phone messages.
21. I used to like TI Jazz flats but I kept snapping the A. La Bella flats are where it's at for me. New rounds are more fun than new flats, esp. for novelty. I like brand new rounds, but new flats are a bit odd. I've always liked my rounds old, I like em new, then they go weird, once settled they're ok. But they give my fingers more of a beating and aren't as "good" as flats. Does this make sense? I've had a drink
22. I hear : up, down, up, down all a bit mad like. Does sound like the Simpsons though.
23. I also have a power amp that ins't bridgeable. Both pre-amps I've used with it have two outputs, very useful for this scenario, even though they're mono pre-amps.
